Ask bigrovar I think I saw him mention in another forum 29.2 bulk and 27.6 float 31v equalize. Although you'd have to adjust for temp
I'm using what my Bros Eastman inverter uses for tubular which is 28.8v for bulk and 27.6 float

Float at 57.6v is 14.4v per 12v battery - this is rather high especially if maintained on a long term basis - e.g. with On Grid or Mains charging and the electricity service is available for more than 24hours continuously.

Float should be no more than 13.8v per 12v battery temperature compensated. This would be the typical upper limit for a lead acid battery.

At my flooded clients, I use

Absorb - 59.2v max for a 48v system. 14.8v per 12v ba3
Float - 55.2v max for a 48v system. 13.8v per 12v ba3
Equalize - 62v max for a 48v system. 15.5v per 12v ba3

that's correct. tristar mppt-60 maxes out at 60.5amps most.
so i have 3 tristar ccs linked through the meter hub.

Mine is set at 14.6 per 12v for absorption, and 13.6 for float and about 30.5v for equalisation. Pretty much worked going 3 years now.

My Oga,

In my experience there are no hard and fast rules for battery charging - only what has been observed to work over time...

You are basically balancing on the edge of a knife within the range of manufacturer specs - charge with the low end of the voltage spectrum and you slowly lose capacity over time but battery lasts longer - charge at the top of the voltage range and battery loses water, capacity remains consistent but life span shortens (in general).

My rule of thumb for length of absorb - if you consume less than 15% of battery capacity in one cycle then 2 hours absorb is okay, between 15% and 30% capacity used in each cycle then 3 to 4 hours is okay, any usage of more than 30% capacity, you should be in absorb for 4 to 8 hours. Once you are absorbing more than 4 hours then temperature compensation is very key else you should use a lower voltage range (manually adjust the absorb voltage setpoint for your observed ambient).

For voltage settings, if the manufacturer gave a 14.2v to 14.8v absorb voltage range at the 25°C reference, I would use 14.6v to 14.7v max (temp compensated) for a healthy battery.

It is instructive that most US (grid/gen powered) battery charger manufacturers absorb for at least 8 hours regardless of battery DoD, I have yet to figure out why solar charger manufacturers believe that a shorter absorb length (2 to 4 hours) is okay especially given the fickle nature of solar power (charge amps going up and down) per moment of time - I mentioned something along these lines while seeking Oga Saipro's advice on a related topic one time but we didn't have time to explore the matter in depth.

I got 2 low power ceiling fan from Juo about 4 days ago and I am been really impressed by their performance. The lowest speed for the fan is about 5w (I checked with my battery monitor) and the max speed (which is faster than any ceiling fan has any right to be) is 40w. At a speed level of 1 to 5 I often find 2 to be sufficient for all needs. 3 4 and 5 are just too insane for me. Speed two is about 10w. I did a video comparison with a conventional fan which I will share with a proper review very soon
