EzeUche:How old are you to tell the truth about biafra. Our elders told us the story. Your elders might have told you a remix . Hell going will be judged by your deeds like preaching hate and pulling the truth too much as if,according to you, all Igbos are ewu who stood by and did nothing while hundred of thousands of them are killed (How? Who did the counting?) except Ojukwu who brought in arms, started the war, but fled for safety . |

^^ He's not mad, he angry and frustrated. Can you imagine someone coming to blame the US for the predicament of hausa people. The US is why there's an incredible amount in the rate of illiteracy in the north (hausa people) ? The US is why the streets of virtually all major Nigerian cities are littered with Beggars and Almajiris of hausa origin ? The US is why the poverty rate amongst race is almost 70% ? What about mother infant mortality rate ? . . . . If you can prove that the US is behind all these monumental challenges then I'll accept that the US is behind terrorism in Nigeria. |

@edoyad, many people have been trying to enlighten you but it seems like, 1. illiteracy does not mean u cant read and write in English OK? (so northerners are not illiterates else China, India, saudi etc are all illiterates) 2. what makes u think that Northerners are as poor as u think, 70% (i think u know where an average guy cannot eat 3 square meal but certainly not in the north) 3.No body is sure if US is behind all the mayhems in Nigeria, but u can answer your self if only u know these: a. operation Northwoods b. creation of Taliban in Afhganistan c. How Al-qaeda came into existance d. How does MEND get their arms? e.How does Boko Haram got their arms and Kit? f. who sponsored Charles Taylor? g. who sponsored Saddam during Iran and Iraq war abeg i no fit shout. when u know better than what u c in d news and come out of ur shell, u will know better. |

bashdecash: Fail! Edoyad is a Northerner. . . .But not all Northerners are Hausa / Fulani (like the kid in the last pic above). The rest of what you've written sounds really wacky. US now sponsors Boko Haram? . . .Strange dude. |
Re: Reuters - Al Qaeda in North Afica Offers To Help Nigerian Muslims by bashdecash(m): 9:38am On Feb 06, 2010 |
if the US can sponsor the mujahiddin in Afhganistan, what makes u think that they cannot sponsor Boko Haram in Nigeria? the man was ready to talk but he was silenced cos of the little info the police got from him was implicative. i stay in Maiduguri and i know and saw the kind of weapons and kits dey had. hmmm, |
Re: Reuters - Al Qaeda in North Afica Offers To Help Nigerian Muslims by Beaf: 9:49am On Feb 06, 2010 |
bashdecash: So the US supplied them with the daggers, hammers, catapults and cutlasses they employed in their suicidal attacks on the police? Were the pictures of their "weapons" not published? You really are wacky. |
Re: Reuters - Al Qaeda in North Afica Offers To Help Nigerian Muslims by edoyad(m): 9:52am On Feb 06, 2010 |
So the US is arming the alqaeda in Iraq and Afghanistan to kill American soldiers right ? Your talk of sophisticated arms is laughable too, for the equivalent of 10k you can buy an AK in south Africa. Do the armed robbers in Lagos and Benin get their sophisticated arms from the US too ? |
Re: Reuters - Al Qaeda in North Afica Offers To Help Nigerian Muslims by bashdecash(m): 10:04am On Feb 06, 2010 |
@beaf, so u think with daggers, hammers and catapults, Boko haram will kill soldiers and police for good 4 days? sorry man, u still believe what u hear and see from the media. i saw what i saw man, ask dos who are dia, dey will tell u. @edoyad, go and learnt the history and not using the presence. The talibans just like saddam were armed for a different purpose by the US and now, the aftermath is wat US is experiencing. |
Re: Reuters - Al Qaeda in North Afica Offers To Help Nigerian Muslims by edoyad(m): 10:27am On Feb 06, 2010 |
If you want history I'll give you history. The weapons black south Africans are using to terrorize Nigerians was bought with oil revenue from Nigeria donated to the ANC, does that make Nigeria a supporter of Xenophobia in South Africa that has claimed Nigerian lives ? The weapons the US gave to the allied forces in the 2nd world war are some of the weapons which Russia used to spread communism in Eastern Europe, i guess the US is a promotes of communism too ? When a country gives arms or monetary support to another group it is for a specific purpose. When that country decides to use such weaponry for other motives you don't hold the benefactor responsible. If a father gives his daughter pepper spray to protect herself on the streets but she in turn uses it to terrorise her class mates, do you call her father a supporter of bullying ? |

@edoyad, The U.S. has no friends, nor does it want to keep any because the prerequisite of friendship is to come to the level of the friend or consider him at par with you. America does not want to see anyone equal to it. It expects slavery from others. Therefore, other countries are either its slaves or subordinates. America only have interest! |
Re: Reuters - Al Qaeda in North Afica Offers To Help Nigerian Muslims by edoyad(m): 11:18am On Feb 06, 2010 |
Let me mention some of those slaves : [*] South Korea, one of the most advanced economies in the world today. [*] Taiwan, do you remember when we used to laugh at made in Taiwan products ? How many American companies have plants in Taiwan today ? [*] Even to the South of the US, Mexico which is a very corrupt country has a top 10 GDP today. If that's what being an American slave can get me, then no problem. It would interest you to know that Japan and Germany which are the 2nd and 4th largest economies in the world respectively still has US bases on their soil. There is development and there is underdevelopment, i know the path i have chosen for myself. I look at Nigeria and i know without doubt the kind countries i hope she emulates socio-economically, none of them are in the middle east. |

Pandemonium in Jos, again •As elders halt Igbo youths’ planned protest over kinsman’s death AS peace is gradually returning to Jos, Plateau State, there was pandemonium in some parts of the city on Thursday, following the alleged killing of a businessman by some people protesting the refusal of the natives to allow them to bury one of their kinsmen at a cemetery. There had been a stampede in Jos on Monday over a minor squabble between the Hausa and the natives at Farin-Kada area of Jos North Local Government Area of the state, following the refusal by the natives to prevent them from burying one of their kinsmen at the cemetery in the area. Nigerian Tribune learnt that in the course of the squabble, a man identified as a welder was attacked and burnt before the intervention of the security men deployed in the area. He was later identified to be an Igbo man, who owned a workshop within the vicinity of the incident. A complaint was said to have been lodged at Katako police station after the incident. Piqued by the development, Igbo youths, in Jos, in the early hours of Thursday, mobilised to protest the killing and what they saw as the nonchalant attitude of the police on the matter but were prevailed upon by the elders to suspend the demonstration and give the police more time. However, before they yielded to the plea, there had been pandemonium as people hurriedly closed their business premises fearing that the suspended protest might snowball into another crisis. Speaking with the Nigerian Tribune, the National President of Igbo Democratic Forum, Chief Chidi Ndu, said that the killing of the deceased, who he identified as Okechukwu, was a surprise to the Igbo community in Jos, adding that the minor squabble had nothing to do with the Igbo, because it was strictly between the Hausa and the natives. Chief Ndu said the man was accosted in his workshop and killed in a barbaric manner, adding that immediately after the incident, a complaint was lodged at Katako police station without any positive response. He added that the man who killed the welder was identified and also reported to the police immediately, adding that to the surprise of the people, the man was neither invited for questioning nor detained. Ndu said the Igbo elders in the state were able to prevail on their youths to shelve the protest slated for Thursday as peace-loving people and to give the police more time to carry out their investigation. When Nigerian Tribune contacted the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Lerama, he said the command was not aware of any complaint to that effect to the police but promised to cross check with the division concerned. http://www.tribune.com.ng/index.php/front-page-news/1590-pandemonium-in-jos-again-as-elders-halt-igbo-youths-planned-protest-over-kinsmans-death.html |
