People voted for the personality of Late Isiaka Adeleke and the role played by Osun State Government in managing the crisis after his death.

I would have loved APC fielded Ademola for the rerun. Political miscalculation, I knew it would happen this way and PDP used the window and keyed into that advantage.

If Labour party has done same, the result would have been better than this.

I just dey laff at some people's comments here. It was a victory that was certain, given the bad politics played by Aregbesola and his gang during the primary. It was more of Aregbesola vs Adeleke's election. Aregbesola is trying to extend Tinubu's policy of installing candidates in Osun. That will most likely be his downfall, not his performance. People are clamouring for locally bred politicians, not lag-imported ones. The sooner he understands that, the better for his legacy.

This Senatorial Election in Osun State is about personality not party

APC is a demonic party, bringing so much hardship to the country, I'm so happy they lost in osun, pls Nigerians let's vote them out by 2019, I do not care if any other party wins as far it is not APC I am okay with it. it was a great mistake for APC not to have picked adeleke, the man would just being another good eldge for APC , but because of APC greediness and selfish interest they lost a big fish.

It is not about APC or PDP.

People had grudge to settle with Emperor Aregbe ,who has been deceiving people with his propaganda. The chicken only came home to roost for him. He believed he is popular with riff raffs and people that can not distinguish between left from right, He underestimated the influence and voting power of the Civil Servants.

Even some of their party members sabotaged the election for PDP. Apart from that, they were heady and stubborn enough to pick the APC candidate from a LG that has a sitting Speaker of House of Assembly and a Rep at HOR, at the expense of other LGs, which are by no mean small LGs -- Iwo, Ede, Ikire etc.

That's why ajimobi kept shifting local government election.

He dares not try it this time, I'm sure apc won't win one local government.

The second term of all south west governors has been colossal waste of votes so far.
