Jesus pointed it out that after one must have been very careful and pays his or her tithes without sticking to the basic which include faith, justice and mercy, that sorrow awaits him or her. Though he did not totally frowned at it but tagged it "less important". Mathew 23:23

Tithe, as one of the laws of Moses is what we are no longer obliged to. Since we do not live under the law any longer as it is in Romans 6:14. Jesus also pointed out very clear that he did not come to abolish the law,that is why He did not frown at it in the above paragraph, that He came to accompliah the law as it is in Mathew 5:17.

He thereby accomplished it in Colossians 6:14. There in, we are no longer obliged to the code of law, for he has nailed all our depts and obligations to the cross.

This is the principle for christians: do as you desire in your heart 2 Corinthians 9:7.

and if we are to pay tithe we ain't even following the proper law on how to pay tithe

Deuteronomy did 14 v 22

At the end of every three years you shall bring forth all the tithe of your produce in the same year, and lay it up within your towns; 29 and the Levite, because he has no portion or inheritance with you, and the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your towns, shall come and eat and be filled; that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands that you do.
