Simon was unstable..he had practised for over 3years how he would approach Eve for her forgiveness, he shouldn't have asked her out like that..not that he still loved her sha, he just needs her forgiveness that's all..or so he thought..
Eve reappearance remained the talk of the whole country, everyone had their version of the story..the footage and videos of her rich entrance went wild..her whereabouts remained a mystery as well..it was like she appeared and disappeared..
"I can help you get to Eve, but you would not like what you'd see"
Yvonne assured Simon when he approached her for help..his heart missed a bit at her words, she was not even encouraging him at all..he knew Yvonne to be a straight forward person, she tells you the story as it is, if it's bad..its bad..so if she is saying he wouldn't like what he'd see..then he was certain he wouldnt really like it
Nkoli was prepared for this..he called for a board meeting
"I heard Eve has reawakened the dead movie " spotlight" but this time she would be acting this film in her own film production company..spotlight would also film here in this industry.. Because by all means possible one of us must get the AMCC award..and it must be this industry"
All hands went on deck..Simon was called up and informed with the latest developments.. Benita was picked to film with as the lead actress since Eve was no longer available..
"I have invested alot in our shares exchange with a co partner I trust so much" Nkoli continued as Fredrick stood up to receive applauds from every member of the boards of directors
"And ever since I trusted this into his hands, money has not failed to chip in over 3years since his proposal to own part of the company"
Applauds kept rolling till Fredrick was given audience to talk
"I appreciate everyone of you but I didnt act alone..and the time has finally arrived.. So the brain behind this surfaces"..he dialled a number, murmuring went thru the hall..before Nkoli uttered another word Eve marched in..the hall went quiet, shock written on their faces..hot sweat soaked Nkoli's clothes
" what are you doing here? Get out!"
She smiled and ordered everyone to calm down
"Like you all know, I own almost all the shares of this company, which means I own half of this company and you Nkoli dare not ask me out, else I withdrew my shares and your company falls..so behave, am simply here to make your life a living hell"

Episode 4

This was too much to bear, Nkoli couldn't believe this small Eve would dare walk into the company he had fought to have for years and claim part of it..
"you must be joking..the shares was all bought in Fredrick's name"
he protested again, ignoring Peter who tried to calm him down
"True"
she snapped her fingers and her bodyguard brought a suitcase with documents..
"Go thru them, these are the original documents bought in my name..Fredrick's fake.."
with trembling hands he snatched them and screw thru..it was just as she said..he couldn't take it..he tore every bit of the documents.. she didn't say a word till he was true
"don't worry about it, I have plenty more..so Nkoli and co..excuse me I want to have a meeting with the board of directors"
it sounded like a blow to his brain
"You didn't hear me?"
she stood up, her countenance changed and turn red..it was shocking how her countenance changed within minutes
"I said..get..out"
she stressed it again..her bodyguard was going to make sure they did before Peter convinced his father to move..
she sat back and smiled
"so gentlemen, where were we?"

"what are we going to do father? that Devil is everywhere"
Peter said thru his clenched teeth..
Nkoli was quiet for a while, all of a sudden he laughed..Peter knew very well that once he does that, he was about to break the law
"Well we would take a shortcut..and make sure Eve life ends..this time permanently"
Simon heard this..he had wanted to see Eve so he hurried to the company when he heard of her presence..he tiptoed unnoticed..he had to tell Eve..she was still in the meeting..and he couldn't reach her..he waited patiently till she came out..the Moment he sighted her, his heart missed..and throbbed fast..she saw him and ignored like he didn't exist..he wasn't just going to let her go like that
"Eve"
he held her arm and drew her back..immediately her bodyguard caught his arm and twisted
he screamed in pain
"let him go"
she ordered and waited till he was face to face with her again
"well, hello Simon"
He stammered for some minutes, she gesticulated at her gold wrist watch to let him know he was wasting her precious time
"Eve there is something I need to tell you..you have.."
she didn't let him finish, she interrupted him
"Am not interested..and I would love to say GET LOST.."
she made an attempt to move but he held her back again..the bodyguard made a move but he was quick to remove his hand
"Good boy..that's how you learn Simon..that kissing my shoes wouldn't be a problem now, would it?"
Simon couldn't believe this, Yvonne had warned him but this was way more than he expected.. not that he was giving up anyway
"Eve?"
he called to her when she was nearly out of sight..she stopped and turned
"Be careful"
he quickly rush to his car and followed her car from behind..he was going to protect her no matter what..
just as he expected, he noticed another car tailing from behind.. ok this was it..but how does he prevent this from happening? before he could swerve and block the car had Swift past him straight ahead of Eve's limousine..armed men dropped and made the limousine stop as they fired all the bullets they had on them.. Simon couldn't move into the cross fire..he had no gun on him..God if anything happens to Eve, he wouldn't care about his plans, he would murder that Nkoli..
after they were true offloading their bullets they rushed and opened the car..surprisingly, it was empty..
"what the..damn..no one is here!"
one of them shouted..
"what are you talking about?"
another said and approached the driver's seat..it was empty..but then he noticed the programmed destination
"dammit! this car was programmed..we've been fooled..let's get out of here..move!"
Simon couldn't believe this, he went to see for himself when they were all gone..it was indeed empty..how did she do it..he was very sure he saw her enter the limousine..

Eve called and was ascertained they had fallen for the bait..Nkoli should have known she had a bug planted in his office, in his house..in his car and everywhere he can ever have a discreet discussion.. she smiled
"and he thinks he fools Eve.."
she chuckled
"am just getting started with you Nkoli"

With Yvonne's help Simon got to know where Eve would be headed the next day, so he hurried and met her in her relaxation spot
"Eve?"
she turned to see him, he had grown handsome, that she can't deny..but..feelings aside..she must make him suffer
"yes Simon"
she responded
"I'm glad you are alive"
he said and sat with her..he made a move to move closer but she held up her one finger to stop him
"no no no young man..don't even think about it"
He knew she was still angry at him, and it was clear he deserved it anyway
"Eve i know you are angry because of how I drove you out of the house 3years back..and how I got married to Sonia..but my marriage to Sonia"
she interrupted him and helped him complete the words he had to say
"is fake, yes I know..I know all your plans Simon..I know you've been spying on your grandfather. I know you've found out that the company rightfully belongs to you..I know you've been looking for the original documents your parents hid..but you don't know who killed your parents do you?"
Simon words failed him
"who are you?"
he had to ask..this wasn't Eve..this is someone else
"They killed your parents Simon and made your life a living hell"
She dropped the bombshell..his eyes turned red..
"yes..I want that anger to build inside of you..knowing that all these years you thought you had them, but they had you fooled, even when you found out that the company belongs to you.. the very person that pulled trigger to your biological father's head..is who you now call father..what a shame..there is absolutely nothing you can do to challenge them, except you have the original documents of your ownership..and fortunately.. I have them with me"
Simon held her with both his hands
"where are they?"
she signalled her bodyguard..
"gets you hands off"
she stood up and turned to her bodyguard
"get my cars keys..there is someone I need to see"

"Eve!! where is it?"
she shook her head at him
"poor Simon..you would have to beg for it..you would peel your knees on bare stones to get it.. I would break every pride in your soul Simon..I will break you..so how does it feel to have all that anger and yet there is nothing you can do about it?"
she smiled again..
Simon couldn't believe this..she was hurting him with his worst nightmare
She got to Bruno.. she had him abducted..
"Bruno I owe you my life, although we have scores to settle..you gave me another chance to life..but there is just one problem..I want to know who burned my family..I know it wasn't you..you tell me who and I port you out of the country where Nkoli won't ever find you"
With the chains on his hands, he bowed and muttered the name she had groaned to hear..the name she vowed to crush the moment she hears it
"It was Peter, Simon's father"

Simon had sleepless nights, Eve words kept reverberating in his head..he couldn't get it out..the Anger he felt was eating him up..and what hurt him the most was Eve, she had the cure to his pains, yet she chose to punish him..he went to a club house, where he had never gone before in his life..he took a bottle of beer..it tasted like water to him so he took another, and another and another..
"what's up man"
Felix, a stray club womanizer walked up to him
"awww..look at you, you're messed up"
Simon couldn't even see who was talking
"only one thing can make a man this broken..a woman right?"
Simon passed out..Felix was trying to play smart and steal the valuable items he could find but luck wasn't on his side that day
"get your hands off him"
it was Eve, yes she had Simon followed.. she wants to know his every move, not that she cared, she had always reassure herself and put it to Yvonne that she just wants to monitor him..that's all..but seeing him drink himself to stupor, well..she couldn't bare it..
He woke up the next morning in his room..he called for the maids
"it was Eve, she brought you home..but madam was not happy about it" Diana whispered to him..
he had his bath and freshened up..good thing was he didn't share a room with Sonia, they slept in different rooms
"Simon who was that...
he didn't let her finish, he hurt her with his words again
" Go and sleep Sonia, you need it"

Peter was not settled..something has to be done..else Eve would crush them all..
"Father if we could just know where she lives..the devil is like a ghost, she appears and disappears"
Nkoli was quiet until an idea came up.
"Simon would lead us to her"

Eve met with the director and convinced him to merge the actors for both film houses
"that means you would still do the movie with Simon"
she smiled and nodded
"it will be a bomb Eve, but Simon has refused to act.."
well she had that under control..she threatened Simon with his right to the company
"if you want the documents, you would act with me"
Simon couldn't help but wonder what she wants to achieve with that..
But he needed the documents, and he was getting impatient
He followed her when she went to the rest room and caught up with her
"Eve"
she stopped..her heart missed, but she didn't turn to meet his gaze..
"stay back Simon"

"or what? you'll call your bodyguard.. he is not here"
she made an attempt to call her bodyguard but he snatched her phone
"why are you doing this to me..i know I hurt you but.."
she interrupted him when she tried to snatched her phone from him
again
"why did you insist we do the movie together"
of course she insists because its a romantic movie, she wants to have Simon think she is into him..make him fall even more, in the movie she would make him feel he had a chance with her, in reality it would be so different..no blame would be placed..after all, its just a movie..
"Simon, give it back"
she lashed at him but he caught her hands and drew her close to his chest..she struggled with all her strength but he wouldn't let go, till she was growing weak, till she simply stopped struggling, she couldn't control the heat she felt being close to him, and the way she stared at his lips he knew what their hearts wanted so he kissed her..so skillfully that her legs grew weak..she continually hit his chest with her fist but she didn't hit strong enough to make him let go..she didn't want him to..
"Excuse me please"
the cleaner announced her presence and Eve regained her defenses..she snatched her phone and hurried off..
Simon tailed her from behind..he made sure he followed her unnoticed till she alighted from her car, into her mansion
"Eve?!"
he called out and walked up to her..
"" What? you followed me?"
she knew the exact problem, She heard Nkoli planned to use Simon to get to her..and without hesitation, just as Nkoli planned, he had Simon followed..his hitmen came out from their car with their loaded guns..
"Simon get down!"

Episode 6

Simon looked behind him to see his life about to go to waste right before his eyes..
"I said get down!"
Eve rushed to him and pulled him down when the first hitman released a bullet, she was quick to help Simon Dodge but the bullet pierced her arm
"ahhhhh"
she screamed in pain, her bodyguard ran out to answer his call of duty..he fired back and brought one down, the rest took cover..Simon was mad, he snatched a pistol from her bodyguard and attempted to fire back but Eve stopped him
"are you mad? let's run!"
she had to question him, maybe he had lost his senses..
Her high heels wouldn't let her run, she bent to pull them off but there was no time, Simon picked her up in his arms
"put me down!"

"would you just shut up for once"
he clenched out and hurried into her mansion..
"That way!"
she pointed out and he followed..she directed till they got to an elevator
"get in"
the elevator went underground..he couldn't believe Eve would have an elevator hidden at the back of a book shelf
"we would be safe in here"
she tore her gown and attempted to tie up her bullet wound
"let me help you with that"

"No"
she withdrew and attempted to continue where she had stopped before he interrupted..
"Eve you took a bullet for me"
He suddenly realised..
"I didn't, I just wanted to make sure you don't die in my house and got shot in the process"
she fired back, he shouldn't feel too important.. although she knew she indeed took the bullet when she saw it pointed at him..
he was quiet for a while before he searched around and found vinegar..
"This is going to hurt a bit"
she attempted to protest again but he wasn't ready to hear the nonsense
"would you just swallow your pride for once and let me help you for Christ sake!"
she became calm now and shut her eyes as he poured out the vinegar unto her wound..
He got a knife
"we'll have to take this out"
she nodded and bit a cloth to control her screams..
"do it"
she edge him on so he went on and dug the knife in..she tightened her grip on him and winced painfully..till he brought it out and tied it up..
Lucky for her..she had her phone so she called Yvonne..
"Eve why don't you stop all these and travel back..these people are dangerous"
she scoffed
"And cower like you right?"
he shook his head she wasn't getting him
"This is not a battle you can win Eve..except you are ready to break the rules..because these people..they can kill to get what they want..they can.."
she shot a gaze at him that cut his words short..
"I would break the rules if have to"
she was still calm, but there was anger boiling inside her
"For what? huh?!"
she was still calm..and went towards the door..trying to keep her composure
"And yes I know I hurt you back then, but I was hurt too..I didn't know what to do..I was confused..that day I went out to look for you.. I did..but now you came back..you are acting all cold! you want to torture me right! why! why!!"

"because they killed my family!!"
she burst out in tears
"They tried to murder me! wipe me off existence.. they lit my family on fire..on fire Simon! they burned! And you? I was in pain for days..I almost died! and yet I risked my life to still get to you..and what did you do? you forgot all we had.. I was with crutches you didn't care!..and yes! I would fight this till my very last breathe, I would crush every bone In their body till there is none left!..so don't you think I would give up on this..they would burn..I would make sure they do..slowly"
Simon was speechless, he attempted to get close but she pushed him away..
"Don't you dare!"
Tears was pouring from her eyes..Simon saw it all now, she was full with hatred..so much that it was consuming her..so much that her emotions betrayed her
The door opened, it was Yvonne..Eve backed her and wiped the tears from her eyes
"mom?"
her voice was still a little tearful..
"Soldiers swarmed the area, no single hitman was left alive..though your bodyguard was shot, he'll be fine"
She announced, she noticed the tensed scene as Eve walked out the moment she was done talking..
"Simon, just stay away from her..she would just hurt you"
Yvonne advised..and prayed he would listen

Peter was informed that the mission was unsuccessful again..
"But at least they got close..we know were she stays now..and we wouldn't stop till..
his words got stuck when Eve bounced into his office where Nkoli and himself stood
" What are you doing?"
she kept still and brought out tons of files and tapes..
"all that are testimonies of your crime witnesses..all the crime you've ever committed..including the fire you lit on my family has been testified by Bruno and many other witnesses..if it gets to the police..be sure of a life imprisonment"
He broke out in sweat..Nkoli was quiet
" But..I can keep this and you wouldn't go to jail...Yet"
he was still going thru the files when she held his arms firmly
"But if dare make an attempt on my life again..I would make sure both of you spend the rest of your rotten life in jail sooner than expected!"

Episode 7

"The time has finally come, spotlight is a film that we've planned to act for years..but circumstances has put it to nought.. now we are back at it for real now..and its not just spotlight film production company doing this..Celtic films, the best in Africa has decided to merge and do this film with us..with Eve has the lead actress"
Charles ended his introduction speech..and gave way for Eve to take the mic
"When I act, I don't see it as a movie, I see myself in that situation, I see the situation as my challenge, I see the role as my life..so as we kick off this film..I want you all to leave behind all your challenges and act like you own this film..to spotlight?!"
They all chorused
"To spotlight!"
Simon watched her from down the Hall, all that happened in the underground vault still replayed in his memory, he couldn't get it off..He couldn't get Eve off his mind..neither could he forget the kiss they shared..but how can he heal her?..she has a wound so deep in her heart..that it pierces her very soul. the hatred he saw was something that scared him
"Simon.. it's set one"
Charles snapped him out of his reverie

THE MOVIE
Sara(Eve) a spinster and an athlete..
rich and famous..But proud and rude..Philip(Simon) A doctor and equally a model..Sara has one of her athlete practice with a line late in the evening..but then, it slacks and cuts off, she falls and gets hospitalized..unconscious for some minutes..Philip who was about to tender is resignation letter and pursue his modelling career, had a glimpse of her while he passed thru her Ward..it was a first initial attraction and a business scheme..the girl was pretty and he could use her for his modelling career.. he tore his resignation letter and stole into the ward
and their story begins

REALITY
They moved in different cars to the hospital where she would be stationed..but first she would have to use a line and act like she fell..though the line would hold her firmly since it was strapped to her back..only that they would let it loose for a while and when she is close to the ground they strap it back up..it was indeed dangerous and Simon tried to convince her about that part but of course she wouldn't listen..
She had moved out of her mansion to another..However Yvonne stole Simon in to see her, after he had pleaded his eyes out
"Simon she will continue to hurt you, why don't you listen to me?"
Yvonne protested..
"Let her hurt me mom..I deserve it. but I would never give up on her"
he had kept his stand..
"Mum, what the..why did you bring him here again?"
Eve dropped her glass of wine and stood up with that questionably expression..
"Am sorry Eve, but he wouldnt let me be"
Yvonne excused them and prayed for the best..although she wanted her daughter to be strong, she was actually getting scared of what she was becoming..
"if you are here for the documents then you are out of luck"
He sighed and approached her
"I wouldn't deny the fact that I want the documents, but Eve I am here for you"
she chuckled with a gesture and covered the distance between them
"ok, here i am..what? you want to kiss me again? you didn't have enough last time?"
He backed away from her and went straight to the main point
"Mom told me you got all it takes to get both Nkoli and Peter arrested"
she nodded
"then what are you waiting for?"
she smiled and poured a drink for herself and Simon..he took a while before he collected and took a sip..maybe she had a good reason
"Because I want them to suffer, I want to watch as I drain them of every last kobo they have, I want them to beg with tattered cloths..I would leave them broken that they would sort for death and would not find. then, I have them arrested"

"And what do you gain from all these?"
she smiled and shrugged her shoulder
"what else? peace...peace of mind"
His question replayed in her brain again and she began to understand
"Peace?"
She questioned herself
"And what about us?"
he diverted
"Hmm, don't even go there, you are completely off the picture"

"Am I?"
he started towards her..she didn't stop him..
"What if I win back within a month..would you give me my documents and send them to jail?"
she thought about it for a while..it was a nice challenge, he should know she would completely break him when she makes all his effort useless
"Ok..I would like to see you try.."
she placed a finger on her lips to hush him when he attempted to say something
"sshhh..I have a date now..no more talks"
he couldnt believe what he heard..
"You are bluffing!"
he shouted while she strolled inside
"Trust me she is not"
Yvonne had to burst his bubbles
"What?..really mum?"

he couldn't believe Yvonne when he saw with that smiles of 'I-Told-you-so'
The day arrived and the line was prepared.. Simon's heart was throbbing really fast..he was so scared and he didn't know why..he went ahead to cross check if it was properly hooked several times..there should be no mistake..
"There shouldn't be dear Lord..I love this girl"
the word escaped from his mouth before he actually realised
"I love her?"
he thought about it
"I do..I do love her..I love Eve"
Charles took his attention as he screamed
"Set?! Rolling! action!"

"This stupid girl does not even have fear..at least the fear of God"
he thought as she swayed right into the air..for a minute there it was all OK..and she was making a perfect landing..but then the line wouldn't strap her up...it kept coming down loosed
"Charles what's going on?!".
Simon questioned and hurried at her, he was so close, but just before he could get her in his hands, she landed hard on bare tiles..
