So sourcing for electronic components for the budding inventor is not as difficult as it used to be. I remember in the mid 90's and early 2000's, I had to wait for months to have an uncle bring some sensor or microcontroller from the USA.

However, times have changed. Off the top of my head, there are a few sites to help guide you in getting the parts you need.

Nerdshed: Focuses on IoT (Bluetooth, wifi, GSM/GPRS) gives discounts from time to time and has an interesting blog. They are the only ones that offer Nationwide Pay on Delivery. see www.nerdshed.com.ng

Hub360: The have a wide variety of components, various sensors, modules and motors and good prices. check out www.hub360.com.ng

Microscale Embedded: This guys have been around for a long time. They have a good variety of electronic components. They also offer an electronics design contracting service. Check out: www.store.microscale.net

Please share other sites you know.
