Operatives of the Lagos State Task Force have arrested a man who was alleged to have abducted a six-month old baby girl in Oshodi area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

The Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force, SP Olayinka Egbeyemi disclosed that the suspect would have been lynched, but for the quick intervention of his men who were on duty saved the situations. Egbeyemi disclosed further that preliminary investigations conducted by the agency revealed that the suspect who lives in the same compound with the mother of the child illegally entered the woman’s room at mid-night.

The chairman stated that the suspect would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos for further investigations on the directives of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni.
