President Donald Trump helped commission the USS Gerald R. Ford on Saturday and declared that the most advanced aircraft carrier to join the Navy will cause America's enemies to 'shake with fear' whenever they see its form cutting across the horizon.

'I hereby place United States Ship Gerald R. Ford in commission,' Trump said after delivering a speech in which he praised the U.S. military and the American labor that went into building the 100,000 ton, $12.9 billion warship.

The most advanced aircraft carrier in the history of this world' that can operate for 20 YEARS without refueling

'May God bless and guide this warship and all who shall sail in her,' Trump said.

The USS Ford is named after the country's 38th president, who rose to the rank of lieutenant commander in the Navy during World War II




USS GERALD R. FORD


The USS Gerald R. Ford is a state of the art naval aircraft carrier successfullycommissioned on July 22, 2017 and is expected to take on its first mission in 2020.

*.It is one of three naval carriers with the same design commissioned by the US Navy, including the USS John F. Kennedy (CVN 79), and the future USS Enterprise (CVN 80) costing approximately $42 billion total

The Ford was built at Newport News Shipbuilding, the giant Navy contractor in Virginia.

Trump tweeted before departing Saturday for the ceremony that the Ford is the largest aircraft carrier in the world.

i see no reason to celebrate this.
if we invest more into education, the world wont be in chaos.
why build for war when we claim to want peace, none of this in any nation will bring peace but war.
i hope to see a world where we wont have a reason for guns

i see all this big nations as predators preying on smaller nations, they wont fight the war on their soil, eg, let's USA and Russia, none of the two nations would invade the other, yet they are seeking for blood, on whose soil? on smaller nations.
i dont know why, i hate anything fight in any form, its been long i fought someone, and God knows I'm not ready to do such irrespective of the provocation.
