I'm planning to apply for my Germany student visa in Dubai, while reviewing the document for the visa application it was stated that toefl or ielts is required. so i sent them a mail telling i had my entire education in english. so below is the image of the response i got from the germany embassy dubai. so my question, would Germany university issued this letter?

honourableseyi:

Yes you can if you have the required IT skills. Moreover, learning the language up to A2 or B1 level will surely increase your chances while you use that same period to broaden your knowledge the more in ICT. Shalom

okay for hannover, it depends on the person answering your mail. when I mailed them about my application then, they also said due to large number of applicants that they can't answer though I knew it wud have arrived there cuz I used DHL but I just wanted to be sure. You can also check your application status in the link sent to your mail when you filled the application form, if your details is there then they have received it. My own deadline was November 30 and it was for summer semester.

When is ur deadline and what semester ?

you can as well mail the university and tell them what the embassy said. there is no harm in mailing them. there was a time one of the university I applied to told me I'm gonna need TOEFL or English certificate for my visa application. Probably the person that replied the email didn't know I wud be applying from Nigeria.

Hallo leute,

I found out about this thread about a month ago, I've been following the thread ever since. I must commend you guys. Gut gemacht!

I intend to pursue an English-taught MSC in Deutschland this year. I'd like to ask if its not late to apply for the summer semester especially through uniassit or I should focus on winter. I just got my undergraduate transcript and should have my ielts result this week, by friday. I can only certify and send documents next week, the application deadline is Jan 15. I am bothered about admission processing time and visa application.

I am trying to improve my grasp of the german language as advised by the gurus. I presently use memrise, Duolingo, YouTube videos and other resources, I can't go to the Goethe or other language institutions because of commitments at this time. My second question, is it possible to pass the A1 exam by studying on your own or one must enrol at a language school. Knowledgeable people should please enlighten me about the exams. I've checked their Goethe website I can't make sense of it.

Kindly advice.

Danke schön

Go to https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/en/ for your intended course and check the requirements, get all the documents needed and certify them either at high court or use a lawyer or certify for free at the German embassy. then send to the school address, most schools will close this month for summer semester and open around April for winter semester. you can get ready for winter semester. as for English language proficiency, you can get a letter from your school which will show that your bsc was fully taught in English. you can get it at the registrars office. note that this is only acceptable if the school says so, some school require you do the English language test and you have to meet a certain score. So go to daad come back with remaining questions. Also you can start from Page 2 of this thread.

NB: your Nigerian CGPA must not be less than 3.0 /5 for better chances of admission

If you have all your documents ready. you can still meet the deadline if you use DHL which takes 3 working days that is if the school deadline is January 15. if everything you will be doing including certification and IELTS collection will pass next week Tuesday. don't bother sending.
my advice is that you shud apply for winter semester which most schools will open around April or may.

this is Leibniz universitat application form if am right. if then you have to choose the "allg. Hochschulreife Ausl." as described in the green letters. HZB means University entrance qualification. The right one for you is sonst. HZB im Ausl. (aHR).
. which has already been selected for u.

Then fill the date you pass out of secondary school and Nigeria as country.

you need to send your secondary school leaving certificate with the docs you will be sending... very compulsory.

some schools are under uni assist, if the schools you are applying to is under them, you only need one set of documents for your application meaning you shud send your documents to uni assist. if you are applying to 2 or 3 schools under uni assist, you still need one set of documents but with different application forms of the courses you are applying to..
if you are applying to schools not under uni assist.. then you send to the school address which will be on their website.

For uni assist to process your application, you have to pay them 75 euros. if it's 2 courses, you will pay 15 euros extra

The prepaid envelope you're getting, is it for visa interview? If yes it's local. But if it's for Deustche bank account opening, then it's international.

Thanks for your response. My deadline is January 15th, and its for Winter semester.

The application to the other school (FAU) is for Summer semester and that’s my first choice. I sent the documents to Hannover about a week before sending to FAU. So I wanted to see if Hannover have received my docs so I can be sure FAU too will receive it since the mail was not registered.

I have checked the application status, it is not showing me anything that indicates they have received the hard copies of my documents.

Was there any change in your own status from when you submitted the online form and when they received your hard copies?
