Impending danger awaits cross riverians and road users when the bad portion of the road along calabar-odukpani highway just after the federal highway police patrol checkpoint at PAMOL finally collapses. The govt seems to be closing its eyes to this danger that lies ahead. Several pleas to authorities concerned such as FERMA and Ministry of works on the need to urgently fix that death trap has yielded no positive result. All they could do was to put reflective tapes there. The rate of flooding going on across Nigeria is an eye opener for all. Though it is a Federal Road, the state government should immediately step in and mobilise contractors to that site so as to prevent unwarranted loss of human life. A stitch in time saves nine.
