If am a woman, once my hubby agrees to take the kids for paternity test, I won't utter a word but once the results are out and he is sure he owns all the kids, I will sue for divorce for he never trusted me.

There is an old saying that goes like this" It is only the woman and God who really know the true father of the child".
Trust no one until they earn it.

The implications are way to much.

One must really have very high suspicions to ever consider accepting doing this test.

It will deeply hurt any honest wife and mother.

And as the man, if you're confident you'll do this and still sleep comfortably, by all means go ahead.

Whatever the result, your life/family will never be the same.

DNA tests would only serve to breed distrust in a family.

I'll rather father children that are not mine than to live in an untrusted family.

Hmmmm

You think like old people.

DNA test is good if there's suspicions in the relationship.

Or even there is some excess money to do the dna.

70% of first borns nowadays are illegitimate.
DNA test is advised if there is any suspicion.

I have been making this point for long. Most guys are shareholders in their girlfriend. Yes, your girlfriend might just be a PLC. Fact. Economic conditions have not made things easy at all. Girls need beautiful things and only very few men can provide all a girl needs these days.

In the last 20 years or so, lots of marriages are happening because the gf is pregnant. And many girls have admitted that having several bfs until wedding is not a biggie these days.

Now how do you know which of the bfs fathered the first child?

A while ago, a Spanish lady slept with the dwarf that came to entertain at her hen party. 9 months later, she had a baby. Only for baby to develop dwarfism that was genetically absent in her hubby's family. She had to confess the tryst.

I think nobody should reject DNA test. I would even prefer if individual genome could be added at a cheap rate.

It is my opinion, an unwavering one at that, that every birth should have DNA information recorded on the birth certificate.

I am a woman

Any man who got married because the lady was pregnant, whether he planned it or not remains a fool if he doesn't do DNA on the child of that pregnancy,at least.

Nowadays, that most brides are already pregnant before wedding.

How are you so sure you are the one responsible for it.

I laugh at men who give rules like " No pregnancy, No marriage".Get pregnant, let me be sure you are fertile.

For my parents, no need. All my father's children have his genes, looks and character. All my father's children are stubborn, troublesome and all have caustic tongue(they can make you commit suicide with their mouth). All my father's children look very much like him. The guys have his exact hairline, nose, height and all. All his children have the same allergies he has, and reacts to the same thing he reacts to. As a matter of fact, we usually joke with each other with the "you're just like your father", sentence... Once you see any of his children and you see him, you don't need to ask if they are his children. That being said, I would over and over again do a DNA test for my kids. I don't trust a Nigerian woman of this generation, that much, not to take a paternity test. It's not because I wouldn't trust my spouse but the thing is that these days, most people change and most people aren't really exactly what they tend to portray themselves to be. You see people talking about loving and fearing God and behind the scenes, they're doing exactly opposite of what they portray, deceiving you with the veil/cloak of Christianity/islam and so called righteousness. You don't wanna trust foolishly and later find out you've been a fool, when it's already too late. Those who haven't had certain experiences, wouldn't understand what we're talking about.

Denko2721987:
Going by the sudden increased awareness on DNA tests for paternity verification in Nigeria, many Nigerian men/husbands are now more willing than ever before to undertake a DNA paternity test not minding its high cost just to verify the exact perternity of their kids arising from the growing realization that promiscuity (cheating) in marriages or relationships today which used to be mostly a man's affair/indulgence has now been massively adopted/initiated (i dont know if thats the right word to use now sef, lolz) by the women folk especially those in marriages due to many persons reasons and societal factors one of which is the negative artificial changes and alterations that we've allowed to penetrate our value and moral system to pollute/corrupt our natural societal, family and cultural norms and heritage all in the name of totally accepting the Western way of life and modernization (which has had its positives though)..

For these reasons, men are constantly living with the fear, mistrust and perception that the rapid proliferation in women's unfaithfulness especially in Nigeria today (this is subject to debate even though there are other indices to support this) might just mean that there could always be that lingering possibility that their kids (most commen scenario) and even their parents (less common scenario) which they have always believed for years was the flesh of their flesh and bone of their bones, might just turn out to be in reality the flesh and flesh/bone of bones of another man or parent which could just be a horrendous nightmare..

Now, i want to ask the Nairaland community today. Would you take a DNA pertenity test if it was offered to you for FREE This includes a perternity test for your own biological parents and for your own kids (you can specify which test you would preferably go for in your comments) irrespective of your gender even though i feel its a situation that seems to affect the men more than the women (they seem to frown so much at this idea of DNA paternity testing and i wonder why)..

So, this is my question this afternoon folks..

Good afternoon everyone..
Every Woman must knows the truth father of is or /her /son cry
