First of all all regions need to sit down and understand our differences.
Secondly there will be a need to sit down with the national assembly to broker how to insert the terms of a referendum into the constitution.
If one and two above are successfully negotiated and accepted a referendum can be conducted on Eastern Nigeria under the supervision of the African Union and the United Nations Organisation.

If the majority in the East opt for separation they will be allowed to succeed,legally and lawfully under UNO and AU supervision without a bullet being fired. Assets and liabilities should be shared appropriately between the two countries and border demarcations set out appropriately.
The fact is the agitation for seperation is real and we must sit down and do it now or in the future.
