The president's firing of White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus on Twitter sent the Twitter verse into a hilarious frenzy as users pointed the finger at newly appointed White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci.

President Donald Trump abruptly announced late Friday that the tumultuous six-month tenure of Priebus has come to an end.

Trump wrote in a tweet: 'I am pleased to inform you that I have just named General/Secretary John F Kelly as White House Chief of Staff.

'He is a Great American and a Great Leader.

John has also done a spectacular job at Homeland Security.
