Oga na master. If you are a foreigner reading this via google search that linked you here because you are because you want to know about Nigeria. I am will to tell you that Nigeria is indeed a giant compare to many African countries. Nigeria compare to many other Africa country is still better managed and beautiful than many other nations of Africa.. Imagine a country like Ghana having a single lane road linking two major cities.. Nigeria have better highways, better insfrastructural facilities, better power supply, better health care and more schools and higher institutions than many other countries in Africa. It is also made up of more mega cities than some other Africa countries. It is also the current number one ecconomy in Africa.. Nigeria, good people, great nation |

We shouldn't be glad to be ahead of other African countries, we should be ahead of Brazil and Singapore. OP this is a celebration of mediocrity. 5 Likes |

INTERMAN: You should be ashamed of yourself for even bringing this up. With all the wealth in our possession, are we supposed to be comparing ourselves to other African countries? You are shameless 5 Likes 1 Share |

INTERMAN: Wake up bro. You have not even provided any meaningful evidence for your claim. It is doubtful that Nigeria is among the top 10 in Africa based on available statistical data. http://statisticstimes.com/economy/african-countries-by-gdp-per-capita.php https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_African_countries_by_Human_Development_Index There was even a recent report that claimed about 50% of out-of-school children in the world reside in Nigeria. Can't find the link now. We better stop this "giant of Africa" delusion for our own good. You can claim that Nigeria is very lucky though. If not for oil and the access to the Atlantic through Lagos and the Niger Delta, we'll probably be as poor as our neighbours - Niger and Chad. |

Absolutely true, infact, I think for business, it is one of the best places if not the best in the world, what it looses in lack of infrastructure, it gains even more in low taxes, high population (and not just any population, a population that high purchasing power) ,low regulations, to mention a few.........Indians,Chinese and even Americans are trooping in here daily to tap from the countless opportunities which Nigerians themselves can't even see.....imagine, by 2050, it is going to have a population of about 400 million people if I'm not mistaken, imagine what that would mean for businesses, in fact, Nigeria has just too much potential, untapped potential........Nigeria is the true land of opportunity |

Yes, but because of the Niger Delta oil. |
Re: Nigeria Is Still Better Than Most African Countries by freshest4live: 5:56pm On Jul 29, 2017 |
beamtopola:Lol, oil is the major source of revenue, but if the Government should focus on taxes alone as revenue, it would be enough because of our population. We have the second largest stock market in Africa. Telecommunication industry in Nigeria is one of the largest with 91.6 million subscribers. Agriculture is also huge but with little technology and investments in it. Oil though is the major export due to poor planning. |

Sweetguy25:you must be blind. Ghana is better than what? Maybe you want to type better than Niger republic. Ghana that has been experiencing very poor power supply in recent time, bad road network, poor healthcare, poor education facility, to name a few. Nigeria is a million times better than Ghana. |
