UGHELLI-THREE people including a 23 years of age kid, were Saturday crushed to death by Dangote truck after it professedly fizzled break by the Army checkpoint at Ekrerhavwen intersection, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State and slammed into more than 12 cars.


The accident, which involved a Toyota Tunderer, Pathfinder, Volkswagen Veto and other cars, occurred at about 2pm, The Dangote truck pushed the Tunderer and its occupants, including a United States of America based Nigerian, Mr Akpobome Michael Egi.


An eyewitness who gave the name of the hawker as Otubure Uyosue, told Naijcrackgist that the three other persons who sustained fatal injuries were rushed to the hospital, adding that the hawker was found dead under the Dangote truck.


The eyewitness who pleaded anonymity, said two out of the three persons rushed for medical attention later died at the hospital, lamenting that both the driver and the conductor of the Dangote fled the accident scene before they could be apprehended.
