The country called Nigeria does not really exist except in the minds and figment of the imagination of Imperial authorities and their local agents, the  Nigerian corrupt elite. The struggle for the emancipation of the Niger-Delta must be intensified at any cost. The Arewa, Oduduwa, Igbo Nations and other groups must begin the same intensified effort to break the country into as many pieces as possible.

Anyone impressed by the creations of the Colonial powers who brought about the confluence of different groups that make up the present day Nigeria ought to move to Britain or Europe and remain there. The Brits were wrong then and the international community is wrong now. It appears that the world does not listen to peaceful agitation. Therefore, the current spate of violence and kidnappings that we see today in the news media and elsewhere may be disturbing but at some point someone has to take action to make the world take notice and it is my considered opinion that MEND is on the right act path regardless of its primitive approach and gangerster like tactics. However,  MEND must tread carefuly along this path. Harming foreigner could be counter-productive. They are no  such thing as an innocent foreigner. They are accomplices to the crimes perpertrated against the region and for that they are equally culpable. Let the dialog begin. Visit our site for efforts to break up the  Britsih-made Nigerian state.

However, MEND should be under no illusions that it can continue its primitive paramilitary activities for long. It needs the input and assistance of experts in the Media, to make its case and to force the rest of what is present day Nigeria to visit the pressing question of the shameful marriage  called NIGERIA concocted by the Brits. If the country is broken into 5 or 6 independent nations through some sovereign conference of well meaning people, it will be a lot better. Each new state or country will accomadate anywhere between 10 to 30 million people which is about the same size of the neighboring countries like Ghana, Cameroon and the Republic of Benin among others. WHY NOT?

The issues should not be simplistically viewed as economic or the lack thereof as portrayed in the news. It is dangerous and misguided.  Keep in mind that this is the plan of the agents of despair, misery and their lords who honor with titles and acalades. If MEND continues its campaign on this front,  it 's sure not to succeed or worse yet, will loose its vigor as time wanes. What MEND and other groups ought to do is seek the assistance of people with ideas on how to make the campaign more potent and unbearable for the Nigeria-Imperialist machine. Yes , holding a few foreigners in the oil sector may capture news attention for a brief period but does not solve the key problem.

Also, it is important for MEND and all other groups to recognize with some absolute truths of the matter. The rest of Nigeria and their imperialist backers will NEVER allow the Niger Delta to become the exclusive interest of the locals at the detriment and deprivation of the rest of the region. THAT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN. SO FORGET IT. What they ought to start talking about is the sovereignty of the region. Even the blindest person in the world knows, that the Niger Delta people are different from the Hausas or the Ibo's or the Edo's or the Yoruba's or whoever. The fact that they are just as black as any other African does not neccessarily mean that they belong together in the British-made country called Nigeria. Yes, every Nigerian in Benin City,  Asaba, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Jos, Ibadan and elsewhere always speak of "ONE NIGERIA". It is the popular thing to say when they have it made or half made with  running water, schools and the infrastructure for progress in their areas. It is patriotic to speak that nonsense of One Nigeria. What "One Nigeria"?.  This is not disimilar to the slave/master christian slogan of turning the other cheek because your reward as a meek and gentle person will be in some abstract heaven after suffering to death here on earth for your master. That's bull. The central government in Abuja should begin the converstaion publicly to get out of the Niger Delta region.

The exit should be methodical and carefully planned. They ought to engage a political conversation amongst all parties concerned. Military action or bribing of some chiefs and noise makers among the ranks of the Niger Delta people will not solve the situation. It will only postpose the violent day of reckoning for all of Nigeria. That day will make the Biafrian-Nigeria conflict of the sixties a childs play.

One formula that may work is to allow the African Union or the United Nations or whatever outside body act as "Resource Managers and Funds Distributor" for all the oil and other resources coming out of the Niger Delta for a period of 10 to 20 years. The Resource Management group will then distribute the funds to all the new nations carved out of the old Nigeria based on an agreed formula for that period, after which, each nation must fend for itself. It is my understanding that they have discoveed oil wells in Ogun and other areas of the country as well as other mineral resources in all parts of present day Nigeria. All of these must be taken into consideration as they move forward. This will also satisfy the appetite of the foreign powers that be.

NIGERIA AND NIGERIANS! PLEASE, GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEADS.  THE IBOS HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON WITH THE YORUBAS NOR DO THE HAUSA HAVE ANYTHING IN COMMON WITH THE NIGER DELTA PEOPLE OR EDOS MORE THAN THEY HAVE IN COMMON WITH A CAMEROONIAN. PLEASE. THE MARRIAGE IS OVER. GET A PEACEFUL DIVORCE AND WE ALL CAN LIVE AS NEIGHBORS, JUST THE WAY WE NOW DO WITH GHANA AND OTHER NATIONS NEIGBORING OLD NIGERIA.
