Before u get married, I believe you should know the truth culture, ways and beliefs of both the family and the tribe you're marrying into. Yes love is a beautiful thing to experience but also as a lady you've been groomed in your own culture and you marrying into another culture might be strange to you. Are u ready to accept the cultural differences when they come to play in your marriage? For example you're an ibo girl and married to a yoruba man... Are u ready to kneel down and greet your mother and father in laws? Of you've thought about all these things thoroughly then I believe even if your father objects to it.. U might be able to convince him ure ready to live with it. Then if not... Forget it, I love him will not do the work 2 Likes |

She should critically weigh her Dad's premise logically. 1. Going into marriage without the blessings of your parents most often than not leads to faulty marriage foundation and worse marital crises. 2. Her Dad's prejudice of the IBO tribe is most likely a result of his perspective judging from the few he had come in contact with or hear about. 3. Should the choice of people we interact with be based on tribe Or based on the morality of the individual or family? In Conclusion, There are no Good nor Bad tribe, we only have Good and Bad individuals. 7 Likes |

ObiOmaMu:I think your Dad must be a social media freak(too active on nairaland). So he's judging based on the e-tribal wars going on here because of Biafra. He should remember love is still blind. Secondly, he should remember not all igbos are in support of the biafra agitation. In fact, tell him the serious minded ones are not in support of biafra. LoL 2 Likes |

That's pure stereotypes, but your dad is merely looking out for you. There's 95% chance that you might end up with a drug dealer, or someone who has once developed kano, India, Cambodia or Singapore 3 Likes |
