Pictured is Rumuowha Farm Road in Eneka area of Rivers state. The flood sacked so many landlords and tenants in the area and the landlords came together to dig this trench as their capacity can carry them. The landlords are saying that with a little support from the Rivers State Government, the issue of flooding will be over in the area.

NB: The good thing about the area is that there is a swamp that the water can be channeled into.

It's only in Rivers State I saw that people living in a flooded area don't take any action during dry season, but once the first rain drops, they will start tipping Red mud everywhere.

Kudos to these landlords.

Eneka should be a massive fish pond. I don't know why humans live there.

The terrain is solely for aquatic breeding

Nice initiative... you don't always have to wait for the government to get something done in your immediate surrounding.
