Arakunrin Akeredolu, the Ondo State Governor replied to a twitter who asked him about the Eight months debt the Ex Governor, Olusegun Mimiko owned the workers before leaving the seat.

Arakunrin replied that he has paid three months salary out of the Eight ( months salary Mimiko owned the workers. 

When some of the workers was contacted to verify the claim, she pleaded for anonymity and said:

" He has only paid two months salary for some levels, he paid only June Salary last week to some pensioners. Although, according to him, we should expect another salary this week which he said iots part of the one Mimiko was owing us."

Another said, "We are grateful to the New Governor . He is trying to offset the debt although I have only received Two months salary from the Eight months Mimiko was owing us. We pray he will be able to pay the debts, It will make us happy because we worked for the money and we deserved our salaries. Its just a shame and wickedness on part of Mimiko to deprive us our Rights. Many people died during the hard months that we were not paid. Old people that have graduates who are not employed and depend on the salary to live died when they were not able to buy medicines to maintain their health. Akeredolu, please, we will like it if you can do something about it."
