Job Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform the following functions:

Preparation of Skin101’s Budget and Cashflow Projections.
Implement processes and procedures to safeguard the Clinic’s resources and financial integrity.
Ensuring all internal and external reporting requirements are sufficiently met, including preparation of monthly and quarterly accounts and variance reports.
Liaising with tax authorities, filing of VAT returns, PAYE, NHF and pension remittance.
Reviewing of monthly general ledger reconciliation, preparation of bank reconciliation statement, preparation of staff payroll and inventory management.
Processing payments to vendors and service companies.
Identifying internal control weaknesses, non-compliance to SOPs and making recommendations to mitigate all identified weaknesses.
Maintenance and update of Fixed Asset Register
Develop and manage financial systems/policies; Analyzing the revenue and expenditure of the business.
Preparing profit and loss statements, monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
Improving systems and procedures and initiating corrective actions.
Maintaining highly organized and updated files.
Working collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared goals
Responsible for generating monthly procurement reports, identify and investigate unusual items and report accordingly.
Qualifications/Experience

A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance.
Master’s degree will be an added advantage;
Must be a registered member of an accounting professional body (ICAN/ACCA).
A minimum of 5 (five) years of progressively responsible experience in overseeing financial operations and management of large-scale, complex development activities.
Demonstrated experience with coordinating, analysing and reporting financial performance, financial forecasting, and budget variance analysis.
Demonstrated experience managing operations, including managing people and performance.
Skills and Competencies:

The successful candidate will be a person of integrity with excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills; a thorough understanding of financial guidelines and rules, international accounting standards and Nigerian tax and fiscal policies.
High level of computer literacy (proficiency in MS Excel would be added advantage)

Preparation and filing of monthly loan and investment interest payment report/schedule.

Prepare monthly financial forecasts or projections for loan repayment (principal or interest or both) and for investment (interest and principal) respectively.
Carrying out treasury functions such as; Prepare monthly reports matching expected loan payments (inflows) with investment payments (outflows) considering tenor, interest and principal (deposit- liability matching).
Prepare and analyze monthly forecasted financial statement (SOCI, SOFP, and Cashflow statement) for strategic decision making.
Establish, proffer and implement cost management strategies.
Evaluate financial performance by measuring actual against forecasted results, analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management.
Analyzing financial data.
Carrying out departmental and organizational risk assessment.
Other duties as specified by your supervisor.
Requirements

Our company a leading haulage company is looking to engage a full-time Depot Accountant to coordinate the financial activities of its Calabar depot operations.

Key Functions of the Role

Manage the entire depot imprest accounts including request for reimbursement, disbursement and recording of transactions;
Manage all trade payable invoices for payment to vendors on due dates;
Ensure update of Software with new Customer & Vendors information;
Carry out pre-audits of all vouchers, invoices and financial request to ensure accuracy and appropriateness prior to obtaining final approval, payment and disbursement of cheques.
Assists with providing support and documentation on internal processes;
Prepare and participate in Budget development and forecast preparation, monitor Depot budgets and review variance between actual and budget and report to the HOF;
Prepare for and participate in the annual statutory Audit exercise of the company;
Set up and maintain Depot fixed assets register, comply with laid down process and procedures and maintain a proper fixed asset register for the entire terminal.
Perform month-end closing procedures in line with established guidelines;

Academic Qualifications and Experience Required

First degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or related fields from a reputable university/polytechnic.
Additional qualification will be added advantage
Up to 5 years overall combined accounting and finance experience,
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) Required:

Good working knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles; practices, accounts payable and receivable management, financial management and financial reporting;
Proven working experience as a Head of Finance;
Experience in preparing accurate and thorough Financial Reports and related schedule in line with established deadlines;
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Effective oral and written communications, interpersonal and planning skills;
Proficiency in the use of computer applications and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point and Financial Application;
Good organizational skill and ability to manage documentations and make past and future documentations accessible;
Strong management skills with a demonstrated ability to take initiative;

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or other relevant fields.
A minimum of 1-3 years of experience.
International treasury experience required
Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and V-lookups
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interact and work cross-functionally with various levels of the organization.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
