Jonathan: Bankole Angry With Senators

THE division between the Senate and the House of Representatives appeared to have received a further boost during the week, notwithstanding the decision of the two chambers to jointly recognise Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan as acting president

Sources at a closed door session between the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the leadership of the National Assembly told the Saturday Tribune that the Speaker, Oladimeji Bankole, could not hide his anger that the Senate and its president, David Mark led the House by the nose to pass the motion on acting presidency.

Bankole was said to have told the closed door meeting that the House was ready to abide by the decision of the PDP leadership to maintain the status quo in the Presidency and shun the passage of the motion on acting president.

He was also said to have asked the leaders to blame Senator David Mark and the Senators for causing the House to pass the motion, against the directive of the PDP leaders.

The Speaker was also said to have insisted that the house was determined to stick to the directive of the PDP that the status quo in the Villa must be maintained and that the resolution, if any should affirm the sanctity of the ruling of the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Dan Abutu, which indicated that the Vice-President can only perform the functions of the President without being named acting President.

“The Speaker told the National Working Committee members of the PDP that he was leading the House of Representatives in a way that no fresh motion on acting president would emerge on the floor and that his foot soldiers in the chamber would always ensure compliance.

More focus should be placed on the criminal activities of Dimeji Bankole, the question one should be asking is ' What progress the house of rep made under his leadership ? '.

Nil progress would be the correct answer. Bankole is a reprehensible character - more so given his age. One would think youth would mean he would empathise with Nigerians rather than side with the relics who have ruined Nigeria. Alas Dimeji was instantly at home hanging out with the enemies of Nigeria's progress. He has proven , on several ocassions, that he is also an enemy of Nigeria who is always ready to abet the cabals who impede our progress. I will never forget his anti-democratic and thuggish role during the Ekiti election to include the chantings of violent slogans aimed at intimidating those he is meant to serve. Total waste of space and an example of the type of character Nigerians do not need leading them.

he and his father were constantly having rows upon rows due to his non challant attitude to get married and settle down or get serious with a career,but was living an irresponsible life, point of the preamble?
before putting people in sensitive leadership positions,their backgrounds and antecedents must be carefully investigated

If what you say has an iota of truth in it, then it goes to prove again that Nigerians are gullible at all levels.
We (the selectors in PDP i mean) were seduced by his Oxford degree and british accent.

Dimeji Bankole is a fraud, he never matriculated nor did he graduate with a degree from the University of Oxford. If you read his resume posted on the Speakers website, he gave the impression that he has a degree in military studies from Oxford University when in fact he was only enrolled on the officer cadet training corps (OTRC) based at Oxford University.

The fact is that he has a degree from Reading University which shares the same officer cadet training facility with the cadets from Oxford University and the facility happens to be based at Oxford University. If indeed he holds an ''Oxon'' qualification , he needs to tell us which Oxford College he attended otherwise he is downright fraudulent in his claim.

Bankole is arrogant.even on d street of abuja bankole and his aides are arrogant.they terrorize other road users. Is dis d kind of youth we want 2 occupy leadership position?
