Check out these two Nigerian Artists. I feel like i just found something great but some of you may already know about them, NAYO: www.myspace.com/nayo NaetoChucko: www.myspace.com/naetochuko Your thoughts! I have to say i am really impressed with the way Nigerian artists are challenging or rather re-inventing the Nigerian music scene. Its exciting! There's a better balance in the news mix of afrocentric/Nigerian beats or lyrics with Western oriented music. I think its really cool. Especially when its original and people are not ripping off other people's lyrics (sorry thats annoying!) These two are definitely very interesting. NAYO especially has been compared to Sade Adu and is getting serious buzz in Ldn. Anyway, just my own spiel! I'd like to know what you think! |
