Is your interview location Nigeria? Well, Nigeria has put F category interviews on the back burner for years now. So NVC is right - Lagos embassy says send us 2 people in the F1 category and NVC schedules those 2 on a first in, first out basis - according to DQ date.

Your options are
1) wait - Lagos has been doing a good job recently in clearing the immediate relatives backlog so they should move to F categories soon.
2) transfer to another country
3) sue ie a writ of mandamus - to force action.

You're definitely current and if you resided in a different country, you would have gotten your green card in 2021/2022.

Raraim:
Hello everyone, I am on the Family-based list F1, priority date June 2013, and documentarily completed since August 2021. Who has an idea when the immigrant visa interview may be scheduled, this wait is something else?

I get messages every 60 days per usual, I have emailed NVC on numerous occasions, and they have always insisted that it's based on a first-in, first-out basis.

My elderly parents were recently DQ'd Nov 2023

We had expideted request approved and case has been transferred to Lagos due to medical health.

Kindly advise what our next step would be, do we wait for embassy to send us interview email and medicals or do I need to contact the embassy

I suppose there is no harm telling the agency, go ahead provide evidence that your expedited case was approved.

Good morning all, pls I want to ask a question, my wife who is a green card holder (not a US citizen yet) filed for me after our wedding on Sept 2022, and the petition got aprroved on Nov 2022. But we have been waiting for their feedback since then, no show.
I'm currently worried that they have abandoned my case.
Pls has anyone experienced this before?
And what's the waiting duration for that type of visa.?

Thank you as u attend to my question

F2A is current for your PD and for February 2024 visa Bulletin it is 08FEB20. Apart from NVC and embassy claiming they are following the DQ, you should be getting your interview letter. Reach out to them and/or sue them.

Your category is F2A and your PD is Nov 2022. What is your DQ? No DQ because they are inviting those with PD of 01SEP23 for documentation, after that you get DQed. For interview, they are currently dealing with folks with PD of 08FEB20.

Your spouse becoming a US citizen may be what hastens things for you guys. That time your category goes to IR1 which has no capping.

F2B is not for minor. It is for children who are 21 yrs or older and unmarried. I knew you would come to poke holes. F2A is for minor and spouse of LPR.

Poke holes? Do you and I know each other??
You're right - it's F2A. I was part asleep when I read his post.
But work on the paranoia dude. You knew I would come to poke holes? That's the funniest thing I've read this century 😂. Are we being paid on this thread?

Hello and good morning to you all, I am new here and I have actually read a whole lot but still curious. I am in the F2A category and my PD is Jan 2023. It’s been one year of wait , please from
Experience I want to know how much longer before I get DQ. My status has been saying actively reviewing since September 2023. Please how much longer do you think I will get DQ.

It seems like you're still at the USCIS stage. You can only move on to NVC after your USCIS petition is approved.
Even after NVC DQ, based on your priority date, you still have some years to go - going by the current visa bulletin.

Evening all. My Visa Category is F4, PD is 17th April 2007, I've been DQed since 10th Sept 2020, and my pd just past on the Final action date of the Visa Bulletin 2 months ago (after being current for about 8 months).
Does any one know when I should be expecting an interview? Or the current PD being interviewed for F4 category? Thank you

I did, but they said to just keep waiting till I'm contacted for the interview.
A timeline would really be helpful to me cause my schooling is pending. sad

You can try to sue them all. If people don't sue them, you gonna be getting excuses and stuff.

My F4 PD was April 22 and I DQ march 2020

Was Invited for interview in July 2022 which I did not attend because I already obtained the green card through another means.

I’m sure they will call you soon

It is good you got adjusted via L1. The whole legal migration is under attack. I feel for people.

1 visa month is currently the equivalent of 7 calendar months.
If it continues like this, I have a 28 year wait remaining, after having waited 11 years. Jan 2013. Haha.

Omo you are so right on this one. I'm beginning to think it's all politics. How can anyone explain why it's easier to enter the US illegally than legally. Crazy! ...Just plain crazy.
