internationalman: The Nigerians around the embassy that I'm referring to are the ones outside the embassy, those ones doing printing passport etc. Your document review would be done inside the embassy by consular staff. That's why there's an appointment for you to enter inside na |

internationalman:Did you get inside or outside the embassy? Those guys outside are fraudsters. |

aestake: Both. One thing I have realized is that the average Nigerian is a fraudulent and terrible and rude. |

internationalman:Yes. Nigerian leadership worsens this behavior. They steal so much (genocidal) from the people and the people in turn steal from anyone to fund what govt should have been providing. The corrupt rich ones are rude because they have the resources and the yet to be corrupted are angry and rude for waiting longer for their turn. |

Who actually attended to you when you went there? Are you sure it's not the guys lurking around outside? Many of them will confidently tell you what they know nothing about. If I were you, I'll keep on trying to contact the consulate to get another document review date. Check the Facebook group, I think there have been similar cases - check how they resolved it. Also, don't stress yourself too much, also remember that not everything is applicable to you. How a F2B proves relationship with the petitioner is different from how a IR1 proves it. If your petitioner hasn't filed taxes for the 2024 tax year, they should provide their 2024 W2. internationalman: |

lily156: Yes I went inside straight to where other were actually having their documents reviewed. All my efforts to contact them to give me another date was futile. They even gave me an email address to write my complaint to. I have written them more than 4 times yet no response. Nigerian organizations are terrible with customer care services. I even called their help lines on two occasions, both persons that answered the phone were are as clueless as I was😔😔😔. Please I'd like to know what you meant by how F2B proves a relationship with petition is different from how IR1 proves it. |

aestake: Lol. You just gave a perfect description of an average Nigerian. We are in a deep mess in this country. |

Okay. Seems like you've tried your best with getting your documents reviewed. Still, check the FB group. What I meant is that a marriage situation is different from a family relationship. Consular officers might ask a married person questions about their marital, even sexual life but that won't apply to you. Since it's your parent that is filing for you, focus on family pictures starting from birth, evidence of money sent to you, evidence of phone conversations. Make sure some of the pictures include other family members as well. If the parent that is filing for you is by any chance married to someone who is not your father/mother, it would be beneficial to at least have some information about that person too. Know where your parent works, the address off the top of your head etc. But relax, it is much much easier for parent/child petitions than it is for those that have to prove that their marriage is genuine. internationalman: |

internationalman:My brother and I have been trying to renew our mother's passport for one year now. Paid the fees, paid the bribes, paid the NIN twice now...no show. However, you would see the interior minister talking about Canadian visa denials of able-bodied soldiers attempting to go for a winter event meant to honor injured soldiers. |

lily156: That childhood pictures go hard oh. I don't have them at all. But I have a lot of recent ones with my mother. As for the money transfer receipt, my mom usually sends money through my elder brother to distribute to the rest of us. So his name is on the receipt. I just hope they interview us together. Please could you help me post a link from FB specifically from Nigerian members?. |

aestake: Passport renewal shouldn't be that cumbersome as long as you have paid the necessary money and bribes except you didn't go through a well connected person. |
