August 10th, 2017 marked another edition of Tax Thursday. Campaigns were carried out across the nation by Federal and States' Internal Revenue Services across the country to sensitize members of the public on the Voluntary Assets and Income Declaration Scheme and the need for people fulfill their civic obligation of paying taxes.

Kwara State Internal Revenue Service kicked off with an in-house training of the staff before visiting management of BAL Engineering Company and MAMTESS Stores. in Ilorin.

In Ogun State, the #VAIDS awareness train led by Ogun State Internal Revenue Service Executive Chairman, Mr. Kunle Adeosun, visited Heads and representatives of markets in Sagamu to educate the populace on VAIDS.

Tax Thursday is in line with the directive by the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo that every Thursday be declared “Tax Thursday”, to create awareness and enlightenment on tax payment among Nigerians.

Tax awareness is necessary, thumbs up for thinking outside the box.

It should not be directed to HNI & Coy alone.
