A number of internal or external physical conditions can damage the skin. Exposure to too much sunlight, air pollution, spending too much time in air conditioned room, unhealthy diet, stress etc are some of the reasons which cause skin damage in women. What is essential is to know the proper reason behind the damage and take measures accordingly. The skin type of the person needs to be known from beforehand as well before implementing remedial measures that would help better the skin conditions.

prevent sun damage – In order to protect the skin from sun damage, application of a good sunscreen lotion before going out in the sun is required. It should be applied in exposed parts of the body. Otherwise, individuals should wear covered clothes, hats and sunglasses when going out in too much sunlight. Additionally, people should keep on drinking plenty of water so that the skin does not lose the moisture from too much perspiration that occurs when exposed to the sun for long periods of time.

Skin damage due to air-conditioners – Staying in air-conditioned rooms for long hours at a stretch makes the skin lose all its moisture. In order to prevent such a situation from arising, what is necessary is that every individual keeps their skin moisturized properly. Instead of using soaps that would be harsh on the skin, it is better to use soaps that are mild and similar cleansers and face washes too. It is a good idea to use an aloe-vera gel after cleansing the skin. An excellent home remedy is a mix of mashed avocado along with papaya and a few drops of lemon juice. It helps to moisturize the skin if it is applied to cleansed skin and left untouched for 10 to 15 minutes. It should then be washed alternatively with hot and cold water. The same process can be repeated once or twice per week.

Air-pollution damages skin – Especially during the summer months, the skin gets damaged due to a number of pollutants that clog the pores of the skin – make it unclean and damaged. These include smoke, dust, dirt and so on. It can give rise to a myriad of skin conditions like the pre-aging of the skin, eczema, allergies, and so on. To bar the pollutants from damaging the skin, it is always advised to apply good moisturizers from reputable companies that are able to act as barriers between the skin and the pollutants. It is also a good idea to wash the face immediately with rose water once individuals get back home. There is a home remedy to better the situation as well. A person needs to dab one tablespoon of un-boiled milk to the skin with a ball of cotton. It is to be left on the skin as it is for 15 minutes and then to be washed with cold water.

Proper Diet and normal lifestyle is required for a healthy skin – Junk and packaged fast food is an unavoidable part of the diet chart of individuals in the modern day. However, such food should be avoided as much as possible. Regular exercising is necessary. Regular bedtime should be maintained. People must go to bed by 10 pm and get up by 6 am.
