The first eight years of the 16 years the People Democratic Party governed Nigeria with retired military General, Olusegun Obasanjo as president was not too good for Nigerian youths who saw sports as a way to survive the economic hardship. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/08/hope-nigerias-sports-dalung/ 6 Likes 1 Share

Most of the ministers are really round peg in a square hole without any hope of revamping or improving the ministries they've been saddled with the responsibility to handle May God save Nigeria from both enemies within and those without 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Solomon Dalung is the worst minister in this administration. He can't even be compared with my Sports Master back in secondary school. He is clueless when leadership is concerned. A minister who can't speak correct English. A minister who believes his country just went to answer present in a competition. Buhari fall hand with this guy shaa. 16 Likes 2 Shares |

Dalung has done more harm than good in in Sports. He and his cohorts loot the little cash that gets into the system and leave workers unhappy and hungry. Buhari's anticorruption tourch light have constantly evaded the sports sector, as corruption hold sway uninhibited. Its a big shame. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

1. Zero hope. He should be fired. 2.Having said that, the problem with Nigerian sports is simple....WE DON'T HAVE EFFECTIVE YOUTH STRUCTURES ON THE GROUND. 3.Athletes like Mary Onyali, Christy Opara-Thompson, Chirs Imoh, Ali Yusuf, Chioma Ajunwa, the Ezinwa brothers, Fatima Yusuf, ...all of them came up through the youth ranks, and did well for Nigeria. 4.Dalung does not seem to have any ideas for youth development. 5.And we don't have good training facilities.....especially in our Universities. Come to think of it...sports ministry should be partnering with NUGA to develop athletes at the university level...even at secondary school level too! 6.And all this football emphasis...it has got to stop. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

No hope! After, auditioning 3 times, 15 million Nigerians thought it wise and expedient to vote Buhari into power. He thought it wise and expedient after 6 months to appoint Solomon Dalung as Sports minister QED 7 Likes 2 Shares |

With Buhari and most of his incompetent Ministers still at the helm of affairs nothing extraordinary will happen to sports. There's absolutely no need making appropriation for sport in the budget when the outcome is usually abysmal. |

Dalung should be a Secretary General for Nigerian Association of Psychiatric patients! Still amazes me how he became a whole sport minister! He is not even qualified to be roasting cassava, how much more administering sports. Failure and incompetence of the power that put him in such position! In a sane country, he can't even be a coordinator of Animal sports, how much more humans 5 Likes 1 Share |

Dalung has redefined incompetence. It was the same man who said the ministry didn't plan any compensation for Super Falcons because he 'never expected them to win'. |

Is it only Dalung? Most ministers and aides under this present govt are both dumb and docile. The rest are simply overhyped eg Power Minister aka Mr Rocket Science. The more annoying thing is that it took PMB 6 good months to select these group of rascals. Well, like father like son. 1 Like |

What's the hope of Nigeria under buhari? What's the hope of the economy under kemi? What's the hope of the suffering masses under this present legislooters? What's the hope of our agricultural sector under audu? What's the hope of our infrastructural sector under fashola? What's the hope of our education under adamu? What's the hope of the media under lai? And lastly, what's the hope of the common man if we keep deceiving ourselves and continue shouting one Nigeria filled with hopelessness instead of going our separate ways? 2 Likes 2 Shares |
