Okonjo was just like an image maker. She was the smoke screen, the screen saver for the hard workers in the back ground. The likes of Charles Soludo(CBN) Obi Ezekweseli(Due Process) and Nuhu Ribadu(EFCC) were the actual hard workers that made the relief possible.

if nothing work in south east, blame ur governors, Example like Enugu state government

The military governor that took the loan, was he from Enugu state? Enugu governors under Abacha were:

Temi Ejoor : December 1993 14 September 1994
Mike Torey: September 1994 22 August 1996
Sule Ahman: August 1996 August 1998
Adewunmi Agbaje: August 1998 May 1999

The military appointed non-indigenes as military governors in almost all the states. Also the so called projects could be federal govt projects in the states and the FG would have signed for the loans.

Nice one. Set tribalism aside. The leaders should learn to pick Meaningful n intelligent men or women to govern with irrespective of their tribe.
But Buhari can never do that. He's a tribalist. I liked Yar'Adua; he was detribalized. Same with Obasanjo, Goodluck, Atiku, even Abacha. But u see Buhari, he lacks d magic wand that can unite Nigerians.

Consistently, I keep telling people that Obasanjo has been Nigeria's best president. Despite the fact that I understand their sentiments, as each day goes by and we see Nigeria heading towards the brink of collapse and the best choices we made as President, we can all come to agree that Obasanjo's policies made Nigerians better - we were not close to the promise land, in fact we were very far from it, but we were moving in a positive direction.

Now, we have reverse backwards and all the gains we achieved under obasanjo has been destroyed.

I disliked Ngozi under Jonathan. I disliked her policies because there was no transparency and monies were turning into ghost and reappearing into people's personal accounts and I was wondering how come a world bank superstar is all in the mess.

At the moment, I think she did a good job to hold the financials of the country tight even in the midst of all the looting and corruption. The economy did not regress even though she was sitting on a time bomb.

Okonja Iweala was the arrow head behind the forgiveness of over $30 billion debt for useless, ungrateful Nigeria. What has Adeosun done for Nigeria? Daily borrowing; under her, we have borrowed over $5 billion. FYI: under Obasanjo oil was oil $25 a barrel. What other excuse do you have Afonjas...wicked things?

When OBJ left, why is the debt increasing on monthly basis under GEJ? It's about the leader abeg. Adeosun under OBJ would still perform better than under PMB.

OBJ, GEJ and PMB cannot be gauge as a world class leader but it was a bit fair under OBJ. It would have been the best under GEJ is not for the case of massive corruption. PMB has not impressed me so far but in terms of managing resources under depleted forex earning and security threats, I would give him 5/10

the case of depleted forex and security threats are both self inflicted.. so don't even go there.

He caused investors fright and uncertainty made them withdrew there money from the economy (keeping there investments in liquid forex).. hence the forex scarcity and the high exchange rate then..

The case of security threat. I don't think you need any prove to know that Buharis un-presidential 97% vs 5% was the case of "a man who carries ant infested firewood that would eventually make lizards his guests.

Whatever that is happening to Nigeria today since Bubu took over is 100% due to Bubu's uncultured nature.

He's too crude and unrefined to lead even a local government talk more of a Nation as diverse as Nigeria

Why don't you reason with your brain?

The example he gave cuts across every single state of the federation, not just Enugu.

Most of the events occurred before return of democracy,
Guess what?... One Adewumi Agbaje was the military administrator in Enugu state during that period.

You can see that corruption has no tribe, no location, no barrier and no chill

I keep cursing anyone that blames Okonjo Iweala for the looting under GEJ. She was just like a company accountant, if the sales rep does not bring back sales receipt and cash what can accountant do?, if purchase manager decides not to buy raw materials but pocket the money what can accountant do?. Accountant was shouting to oga and board, "save for rainy day, but board said we are PDP we have umbrella, abeg what can accountant do?. Now one smello in Ogbomosho laden with tribal mark will say Okonjo mismanged the economy and all the looting happened under her. "Why didnt she resign? you ask, But i put it to you that quitting is never the answer, she couldnt beat them but at least she did not join them. She did her best and left the rest to God; and yes her best was good enough.

Only a vagabond and a ninny can blame Okonjo for GEJ' failure, Imagine with all the stealing and looting dollar was 180- 260, garri was 200 naira a paint, rice and other foodstuff was affordable and inflation rate was stable.

If you voted for Buhari you have wasted 4 years of your life because out of tribal sentiment you mortgaged the future of your children.

All the gains of the PDP has been lost, the anti corruption is now used as a tool for distraction...they have not secured a single conviction in 2 years. Telecom industry has lost a giant; Etisalat has gone. Security and Peace has flown outside the window Hell even the unity of the country s threatened. Something that wasnt even thought of during PDP.

Okonjo Iweala is still a National treasure and she deserves her statue to be erected, i will model my daughter to be like her ; a strong , intelligent, confident, competent, Original Afrcan queen.

For those of you still sticking with this 16+6 = 34 minister, you are on your own

No be beans I know but you need to read the criteria for the relief and what Soludo wrote about Okonjos contribution to the debt relief. An economic minister was not one of the criteria only transparency was needed and those three I mentioned provided the transparency needed. Okonjo was just a poster baby to make things appear more professional.

Even the likes of Soludo, Obi and ribadu were angry that she didn't get a better deal that an ordinary economist could have gotten a better deal let alone someone of her standing. That was according to Soludos statement when He and Okonjo had a clash either during the austerity that saw the FG borrowing to pay it's workers before the election or after she had left the government. I can't really remember the exact time.

She had no back up mechanism.

It was simple. Nigeria had more than enough to go round for both the looters and the economy to survive.

Nigeria was earning more than twice of what we are earning today plus the $64billion reserve left by the Yar'adua administration.

The moment the income went down, the country ran into trouble because the looters won't stop and the economy paid the price.

Here you go:

Your major role as stated in your CV was to lead the team to negotiate the specific terms of the relief, having fulfilled the conditions. I still believe that Nigeria should have gotten far better terms than you negotiated. Of course, with your eyes on returning to the World Bank after office, I did not expect you to boldly stand up to the donor community in defence of Nigeria. Was there a conflict of interest on your part?
By the way, can you tell Nigerians why you were eased out as Finance Minister and you cried like a baby begging OBJ to still allow you remain in the Economic Management team—- barely few weeks after the debt relief? Why were you eventually also removed from the economic management team if you were so important? Ironically, President Jonathan has recycled you, with a bigger title and greater responsibilities. But the difference is that the team that did the actual work is no longer there, and the world has seen that the king is naked.

I won't trade insults with you it's a sign of a weak mind.

Before I go let me educate your ignorance.

At $25/barrel Okonjo(a professor) was borrowing to pay salary. Is that her back up mechanism?

At the same $25/barrel the Kemi Adeosun(an HND graduate) took over and never borrowed to pay salary. Instead she turned things around and started borrowing states money to pay salaries.

I won't dignify you with a response again
