It's just a pity for the masses. The poor men who thumped their chest and wagged their tongues like Resident Evil ghouls heralding and ushering in the ascendancy of this cretin. They've been shivved.

Staying away for a 100 years wouldn't even have been the problem if his presence had even mattered, positively, for a change when he was around. But, his empty skull and lacklustre body language did the nation in way before he even took ill.
