So in second grade I agreed to date a classmate I barley knew, which I quickly learned was a big mistake. He would always try to do weird gestures of love for me, like giving me 'Butterfly kisses' which was basically him attempting to get our eyeballs to touch. Looking back now it was pretty dangerous and we could've gotten pink eye pretty easily, but that's not the focus of the story here. So one day I had enough, I just couldn't handle him anymore. When I was a little kid I didn't really know what confrontation was, and I was very bad at telling someone bad news because I was so afraid I might hurt someone's feelings. So what I did was I got a red sheet of construction paper, drew a heart with a bunch of swirls inside it with a pink color pencil, and wrote right in the smack dead middle of it in all capital letters "I DON'T WANT TO LIKE YOU ANYMORE" immediately after giving him the card and he read it, he flipped his desk over and yelled right in my face about how "BREAKUPS DON'T WORK LIKE THAT WE BOTH NEED TO BE IN AGREEMENT IF I STILL LIKE YOU THEN THAT MEANS WE'RE STILL DATING." And being the sensitive naive little kid I was I just mutely nodded my head and continued to 'date' him for the rest of that year. Until, finally, his family moved away and I never had to dealt with him again since.
