After a long silence on updates regarding the most controversial arrest since the spate of kidnappings for ransom took the country by storm, we are finally greeted with news from the Evans camp.

Alleged kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike also known as Evans, has won the first round of court battle at the Federal High Court Sitting in Lagos, as the court ruled that the fundamental rights enforcement suit filed by Onwuamadike can proceed.

Justice Abdulaziz Anka who presided over the case dismissed the objections of Emmanuel Eze, the counsel for the third and fourth respondents, and agreed with counsel to Evans, Olukoya Ogungbeje, that service on the first and second respondents had been properly effected.
