But for the service, she can serve anywhere in Nigeria without paying officials as long as it is not her state of origin( the one on paper cus she can still be Igbo and be claiming Adamawa) and the state were she schooled.

I guess for the hospital transfer to PH, I think some hospitals have certain specialists on certain areas. May be her condition could best be managed in that hospital.

The roads are very bad, the idea of travelling from e.g Enugu to Maiduguri to serve is no longer safe as it was when nysc was created.

Here in the west, most corpers are yorubas too.

The only place a corper is not allowed to serve is in his/her state of origin and d state that houses his/her institution.

Apart from these, the corper can be posted to serve anywhere so far the corper chose the state in his 4states of choice.

If it were to be by counter-region system, prospective corpers would have been asked not to choose States from their region.

In fact in my tym, for the stream one, computer jux gave all of us our 4th choice... even if you are Igbo and you schooled in UNN, and your fourth choice that year was Anambra, you will be posted there.

My brother woke up early this mornin in tears after a call from his friend tellin him dat this gal lost the fight to survive . He knew her well. She was one of his friend's sis. On the early mornin of monday(her birthday),oblivious of the gal's misfortune, my bro tried to send his birthday wishes to the gal thru her bro only to learn from him that she was in a critical state as she was the only survivor from the collapse (which he had read online),then early this mornin his call woke him up,and my bro's groan woke me....It wud have bn just another bad news i read online today but sadly enough,this victims aren't fictitious,they are real!. Even travelling from your house to work is also not safe sir. People work even as far as travelling to other states, some work in a distance city from where they live and go to work every day. NYSC is not the cause of death, normal things that kill people is what also kills corpers. Infact strange enough, she was serving in her region, her own abode, yet death came. Reason it! Death is everywhere even while eating, person fit die.

But a new method has bn introduced. so that the corps member can choose at will any four States from four geopolitical zones and any of them would be given to him/her.
