Such a disgrace. Of all things, scamming nit-wits are at it again. We keep parading disgraceful leaders, spend time whining about them across the globe, yet some average Nigerians sit down to look for means to scam others across the globe as well. When would all these madness end? |

justwise: If all my money was taken (not by force, mind you) by some 'scumbags' who duped me, then i'd really have to blame my own STUPIDITY and GREED. I insist that cybercrimes are much more preferable than violent crimes. Pray you never fall victim to robbers. Can you even fathom the trauma of robbers invading one's home, shooting someone and perhaps raping one's sister or something - in addition to carting away your money. My brother lets face facts: in the face of tremendous hardships and social pressures, and in the absence of any semblance of welfare systems and basics, resort to crime is INEVITABLE. Now all we can hope for are the 'lesser' crimes which, to my mind, are non-violent crimes like 419 etc. What can we do about that? Nothing. As long as the economy remains in tatters, these survivalist resorts to self-help would prevail. Life without money in your pocket is worse than death itself, believe me. |

pro01:Lets set the record straight here, i don't feel sorry for some 'victims' of yahoo yahoo/419ners and those are pple who responded to the emails asking them to take part in transfering millions from Nigeria and cut their commission and pple who want to claim lottery money even though they never play any lottery, to me, both the yahoo yahoo and their so called victims deserved equal jail sentence. Now the issue of identity fraud, atm fraud, charity fraud like this is just SICK, there is no excuse for that. |

We all should stop lying to ourselves we all know we rank amongst the highest scammers in the world. we should be thinking of ways to help clean our dirty act rather whinning about our name being mentioned. there's hardly any cyber cafe you visit today that you don't see one yahoo boy or girl!!! |

ayettymama: Yetty I know we're not best of friends but thats no reason to hate the message cos you hate the messenger! Understand. justwise: My brother I agree with you on that. I'm not making excuses for these sorts of crimes. However, I am an incorrigible realist; I know that we do not live in an ideal world: a utopia flowing with milk and honey, or a society of social equity. No. Our country faces real challenges of unspeakable poverty, unemployment and social pressures (e.g a fine, struggling young man who cant get a girl cos they all want a guy with a nice car, house etc.). People cant get decent jobs cos they're unlucky not to have well placed parents, uncles and so on. Yet in the same society, you see people with illicit wealth display such recklessly to the utter frustration of an already desperate army of young men. What do you expect? That they should go back to their villages and sulk to death? No. They'd try to 'make it' by any means necessary i.e crime. My simple point therefore is: Much as we detest these frauds, it is still a LESSER EVIL than violent crimes like armed robbery, paid assassins, ritual-killings etc. There is no point whining about the reality on ground. When evil is inevitable, best we can do is hope for the lesser ones. Thats it. |

^^ And u tink dat even the almighty America is simply giving from the goodness of their heart. A green snake in a green grass is dangerous. America will benefit far more than they have contributed from Haiti. |

^^ And u tink dat even the almighty America is simply giving from the goodness of their heart. A green snake in a green grass is dangerous. America will benefit far more than they have contributed from Haiti. What would America benefit? Oil or what does Haiti have. You wont help America helped and you still say they have motives. Would it have made you happier for them to leave haitian to die? |
