with the specie of animals we always find to be on front page these days, it's obvious Nigeria has an untapped sector with potential, instead they let hungry civilians kill these animals. it's so sad we are our own problem

It's manatee, caught in orashi river yesterday by a young man along the ekpeye axis. According to the local chief, part of the fish will be sold to the public interested while the remainder will be used for the coming yam festival happening soon.
I know someone who is ready to pay hundreds of thousands of naira for it if you can catch one alive. Where is the Orishi river? Have more manatees been sighted in it?

That number plate is Nigerian. It's Rivers state, Ahoada LGA.

No. According to the fisherman who's actually sitting at the back of that truck, when the water levels increases, probably due to the rainfall, they're likely to come and he was able to catch this one because the water recede and she was unfortunate to swim against tide.
