Immediately the Op mention the name of Jonathan I knew that he is one of anti Buhari.

Look at those seats by very well you would see that there are passangers on them. People may be sitting on the floor as a result of selling tickets beyond the number of seat in the train.

@ op, God dey oh. Remember that a day is coming that you will give account of the evil info that you are sending to the people.

Don't think that nairalanders are fools. It's only those of your mindset or those that don't observe very well that may be nailed by this.

1. These seats are not first class seats of the Lagos-Kaduna trains. I have been in them so I know. The only time the first class seats are"headed" is when the the train leaves the Idu station in Abuja. Some seats are reserved for passe. Gers at Kubwa station. But this is not the first class coach

2. Those seats are not empty. You see them from the back and think so because the chairs are large and you can seat in them and be totally covered

3. The problem of people standing is due to corrupt officials who sell even after being out of tickets. I remeber during my trip, theu collected cash from some people.

4. Some managers were recently fired for doing 3 above.

5. More coaches are needed along with more trips; this is the only thing that can stop ticketers collecting money after the tickets have been sold out. If passengers know if they miss the 7am train, there is another at 11am and 4pm, they will be less inclined to pay to stand. Also if there are more coaches, there will be more seats for people
Perfect one broo.... thanks for this.

Even if they provide more coaches from the moon, the monster called corruption has it's claws on the neck of most public workers including the railways, they will find a way to circumvent the system to oil there pockets, nonsense sad

Some passengers were spotted sitting on the floor and armrests during a train ride from Kaduna to Abuja. According to a journalist; Ifeanyi Charles Nwoko who shared this, the passengers were subjected to this because the train officials hoard the tickets to sell in the black market. Read what he shared below;

Kaduna to Abuja on train. People sitting on the floor and armrests but the first class is empty because officials hoard the ticket to sell in the black market. This is how we would destroy this infrastructure with our own hands then turn around and blame govt or say Jonathan didn't build it well. I hope the visit of the minister would have put and end to this nonsense.

Ticketing machines should be in the works. Buy your tickets anytime...say solar powered machines.

Those seats aren't empty. Those standing do so because the seats are filled up and they normally pay less for standing. This also happens in luxurious buses. As far as I am concerned, those who stand do so out of will as nothing prevents them from waiting for next schedule.

first of all,I give credit to GEJ Administration for the laudable project.secondly,I think the present government should set up a tax-force that will be all over the country monitoring the issue of hoarding of tickets and good usage of this coaches so that it does not spoil before its time.

The average Nigerian is very dishonest in everything he does from the way he wakes to how he prays and even how he dies and is buried ..SMH..Gentle the same reason those seats are empty is the same reason why electricity supply is scarce in Nigeria

Simply put, they don't have money to buy First Class ticket and officials pity them by allowing them to enter First Class coach.
