The Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin LGA, Comrade Engr Valentine Oluwaseyi Buraimoh has affirmed that, the regeneration of the environment and its sustainability remain the topnotch priority of his administration.

Speaking to newsmen in Festac Town, Lagos shortly after inspecting the ongoing clearing of weeds in some parts of Festac Town, Adosoba and Mile 2, noted that " I am impressed with the progress made so far on the environment.

"As Amuwo Odofin Local Government continue to grow and expand with its attendant pressure on the environment, it is expedient that we make efforts to improve and make it healthier for people to live in" .

The Local Government boss also canvassed for stakeholders support in protecting the environmental landscape of the local government stating that his visit to the office of Vissionscape, a waste management company for Lagos State has help him see the vision of the Governor and Government of Lagos State on waste management for a Mega city and as such he has partnered with the company for preliminary evacuation of waste in Amuwo Odofin LG which can been see across the LG especially at the Jakande low cost housing estate
