If you are in Lagos visit them, if you are outside Lagos you should send someone there. They rescheduled a friend

Thanks Kontagious. I bookmarked that post since. It's so weird. I had sent to the first email address the same date I paid with no response. I just resent now and I got an automated response. Since this is almost 4pm, I am hoping to get confirmation by tomorrow. Fingers crossed

How did you cope with the advance listening test, for ieltsonlinedotcom? I keep "junking (fail)" the fill in the gap summary test, and this is causing me fear right now. Another challenge I have is the pluralization of words, sometimes I miss-out the "s" due to the foreign ascent of the speaker, and this causes the computer to mark it wrong for me. Is it likely someone will be marked wrong if he seldomly omits the "s" or can't someone be pardon for omission of "s" for singular verbs?
read a tip that says when there are two words together and the first is in plural that the second might be in plural as well

Don't cancel yet. You may consider resending an email to examsnigeria@ng.britishcouncil.org if you haven't done so. Are you in Lagos? How about visiting their office on behalf of 'the two both of us' tomorrow?

No, I am not in Lagos, I have sent an email to that address, got the automated response too, let's wait until tomorrow and see.

good day peeps, pls i have 2 questions to ask the house.

I studied Geology (B.Sc), petroleum geology/sedimentology (M.Sc) and now am currently running a Ph.D program in Environmental Science. when I was in naija had over 6 yrs experience in Geology with a serving company i was working with, now am a research assistant (RA) in my department, please when filling the immigration form is there going to be an issue with my work? because its quite different from my previous work. secondly, pls where will I get reference letter? is it my new job (RA) or the job I left before i traveled for Ph.D program. thanks in anticipation for y'all input

No issue whatsoever. Regarding reference letter (s), you'll be required to provide references for the job (s) you are claiming points for. That means if you are using only your servicing company experience, you'll have to get the letter from the company.

Just out of curiosity, what university are you at currently?

Good day House,

I am unable to follow all the pages. Pardon me if I ask already answered questions

I applied for Study visa in 2013 and was rejected, also can't remember most of the information's I filled in the form. Am quite scared of applying for the Express visa.

Also need helpful links on writing the IELTS exams, which I plan to take in January.

Thanks

Hello Ljay17, please I just PM'd you. I'd appreciate if you respond. I need more information on On PNP

Ljay17:
Whew...finally caught up with thread. undecided

Big congrats to all the PPR and ITA recipients.

The thread is moving quite fast I must admit. I noticed a lot people quoting long posts. This practice contributed greatly to the speed of the thread. I urge us to refrain from doing this.

May I also add my voice to those of us requesting for a separate thread for PNP route. Many people with low CRS would benefit from such dedicated thread. Being a PNP candidate myself, I can attest to the fact that not much PNP info/experience sharing is available on this particular thread.

For people considering the PNP route, ON is a very good option if you can afford the CAD 1,500. Got my nomination within 16 days of submitting my application to their Human Capital Priorities Stream.

In conclusion however, I urge every person embarking on this life changing journey to be ready to put in the work! Don’t expect anyone to spoon feed you with information that you can learn by doing your own thorough research (not limited to Nairaland). May God bless everyone taking out time to answer questions and helping people out on this thread.

Journey so far:

PNP - ON
AOR: 16th Sep
Medicals Passed: 12th Oct
Ip1: 12th Oct
NA2: 13th Oct
IP2: ?
PPR: smiley

I’m available to answer any related questions or enquiries. Cheers guys

Thanks so much for this info.
Please how much and how long did the renewal go for and how do I go about this CSE stuff?

I started the renewal early in August but it wasn't ready till mid September. I don't know how long it takes these days. Then I submitted the cse at the address below

Tnx gorgebaby

Thanks. In all honesty, I only prepared for the listening section the two times I wrote the test. I used ieltsonlinedotcom (I don't want to be censored) majorly. My weakness in the first listening test was the map/diagram, which I then faced squarely whilst preparing for the second test, but thankfully I didn't encounter.

Tips? Practice and more practice. You can only recognize your weak points when you practise and hopefully by the time you are writing the actual test, you would have mastered them.

I wish you all the best!

Impossible is nothing ohh!!
If lots of people tweet/mail at CIC making reference that Australia accepts combined test. You never can tell, they might internally consider it for the future. Its worth giving a try.

Never say never.

That was how it started.. Pple were telling them to demonopolise BC and they did. Although DIBP has a form u fill to let them know why u didn't get ITA and things u wld like changed.

Single or Married? Your projected CRS score will be 464 (as a single applicant) if you can aim to score a minimum of 8777 (LRSW) in the IELTS test.
