damidamsel: I just had to comment on this. This goes to show that sometimes, it's not in the perfection in our applications but pure grace and proactiveness. Thank God for the opportunity to order GCMS notes, imagine just sitting and waiting endlessly. Big congratulations to you indeed. Your persistence has paid off!!! 7 Likes |

Congrats @damidamsel, it was a long wait but the outcome was worth it. Of course you can stop over at USA, provided you have a valid visa and your booked flight indicates so damidamsel: 3 Likes |

blessings2017: I am not sure of the case you are responding to but in your case you should have answered yes to b0th questions since the Canadian visa issued you when applying to study is a TRV, and Study/work permit is only given at the POE. I'm not trying to imply anything regarding your application, just pointing out something that might be useful for some other persons. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Naturalized: I was not issued any TRV . I applied for study permit and application was denied. End of story . I can not in my case, start ticking YES to any trv i don't know about (GCMS note only mentioned study permit). Anyways, I've moved past this stage a 'lonnng' time . Was just trying to imply that because you have been denied visa in the past doesn't make you tick YES to both questions. Know the peculiarity of your case. Shalom. 1 Like |

blessings2017: Boss, Study Permit is a TRV. Tick yes. Very very important. Study Permit is in the category of Temporary Resident Visa. Be properly guided. 2 Likes |

Please I have B. SC botany and M. SC pharmacy (pharmacognosy). My my questions are: 1) during WES evaluation of my qualifications, do I need to evaluate both my M. SC and B SC separately? 2) if I'm to evaluate just my M. SC, is there need to also send my B.sc transcript or just photocopy of my B SC certificate? 3) will I also send photocopy of my o'level certificate to WES? 4) is there any need for a notary public to sign/stamp all the documents that would be sent to WES? 5) I have two seating o'level results, will that affect my application or do I need to use the single seating o'level I acquired after my M. SC? |

yemdogg: A study permit is not a TRV. These are two different documents . Basically, you need a Study permit in order to study in Canada while TRV in order to be admitted in Canada and Yes, they belong under the Temporary Residence category. Not everyone requires a TRV. Citizens of visa-exempt countries do not require a TRV to travel to Canada as a temporary resident (visitor, student, or temporary worker). Now what usually happens is this, When you apply for an initial study permit, you do not need to apply separately for a TRV. If your study permit is approved and a TRV is required, you will be issued a TRV along with your study permit. See the below links http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/students/index.asp https://students.ubc.ca/international-student-guide/immigration/temporary-resident-visa-trv Shalom 2 Likes |

Nazor83: Not sure if anyone has done this in particular. However, you should submit this if there's a chance it'll boost your CRS score. They could evaluate it positively. Please don't hesitate to come share the results here. 1 Like |

Pat4t5: 1. Evaluate only MSc, if getting BSc transcripts will be trouble. If not, evaluate both. 2. Whatever you send for MSc, send same for BSc. Instructions are on WES pages. Basically you send in photocopies of your certificate, while you have the school send the transcripts. 3. It's pointless sending WAEC certificates. It doesn't add to your points. 4. No need to have docs notarized. WES does not require that. 5. You don't need O'level results. |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Naturalized(m): 7:27am On Nov 24, 2017 |
blessings2017: Lol, what you applied for was a TRV, which is, in essence, a visa as a temporary residence. It just so happens you applied under the study classification. The one issued at the POE that states the date of exit, and conditions of employment in Canada as a student is the study permit. I say this as someone who has gone through the entire studentship process and attended various CIC in-Canada awareness programs for international students. 3 Likes |
