Enyimba Football Club have raised alarm over threats to their players and officials following an incident at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt on Saturday. According to reports, supporters of Rivers United had on Saturday evening chased the team out from the stadium, threatening to shoot down anyone who stayed on the pitch.

The Enyimba club took to their official twitter handle to make the attack public and express their discontent regarding the manner in which they were treated by the Rivers State club fans in Port Harcourt. Claiming that two of their officials were assaulted and their training session disrupted.
