The police talk say Haruna bin dey work for Dangote Sugar Factory for Apapa, Lagos, him come thief d truck, carry am run on May 18, 2017.

PUNCH Metro yan say d suspect bin dey drive d truck go Cotonu, Benin Republic, wen Customs officers for Badagry catch am, arrest am.

Dem come carry am go court come give am two counts charges for stealing.

D charges read say:

“You, Haruna Bello, wit some kind people, on May 18, 2017 around 1.45pm for Apapa, Lagos, wey be Lagos Magisterial District, bin thief one truck wey get d plate number, XC 449 GML, wey be about N25m, and na property of Dangote Group Plc, so you don commit.”

The police prosecutor, Sergeant Donjor Perezi, come yan say the offence dey punishable under Section 287(7) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Haruna come talk say him no do am o. Him plead not guilty unto the charge.

The Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Olayinka, come grant am him bail but him go pay the sum of N1.5m.

Dey don shift the case go September 25, 2017.
