A teenager will already know about sex, and will not want to discuss what he/she saw. There's no need to explain anything to a very small child unless the child was scared that mom/dad were fighting. In this case, just reassure the child that mom and dad were definitely not fighting. A slightly older child may have questions. If he/she does seem curious, you can explain that that's what parents do to make babies, and it's private time for adults.
