Presidiotbuhari: This is outright cheating & injustice to millions of yoruba muslims. Why must the responsibility of moon sighting & announsment of muslim festivals b an exclusive right of hausafulani, while millions of faithful yoruba muslims are relagated benind? This is quite sad & must stop. This is religious injustice which must b fought to a standstill. We all hav equal stake in islamic religion, except the Igbos that are anti islam & hav no single muslim till date. ...................................No to sunnah and Yes to bidah. Haaa why are you crying more than the berafied, so you are using Chemiron for another person blood shortage......Let sense fall on you man. 5 Likes |

Why don't u tackle the point i raised & stop this ur unnecessary ad hominen?. By the way don't compare apples with orange. Two major tribe practices islamic religion in nigeria, why must 1 from far away desert north decides when those down south should celebrate Ileya?? That is pure madness &should b rejected by every yoruba muslim. GeneralOjukwu: 5 Likes |

Femiwilli:stop this for crying out loud. Has education degenerated this low? He has only informed the adherents the day for prayer and the government can then declare the holidays. For your information, that decision is not unilateral, he is just the Primus inter perez and there are set guidelines and rules before he can make the proclamation. That is why he can not just buy private jet 5 Likes 1 Share |

Femiwilli:Oga Feeee... park well, did u see where he declare holiday, I dont know why common sense is too expensive for you to grab, The Sultan make the Muslim ummah across the Nation to aware that the Sallah celebration is on the said day but you decide to use your gullible mind think otherwise... It left for the FG to declare the public holiday... Get it into your scum skull... |
Re: Eid-el-kabir: Sultan Of Sokoto Declares September 1st Sallah Day by Klin1(m): 4:41pm On Aug 23, 2017 |
Presidiotbuhari: You earlier requested for justification on why is it responsibility of the Hausafulanni dictating for the Yorubas when to observe sallah. Now, you are still asking why then does the responsibility of sighting the moon lies on Sultan only. blablabla............ Anyway, to clear your doubt, the primary purpose is because of the topographical nature of the there terrain. they have vast flat land area which enable easy sighting of the moon from considerable distance since it was done locally. The Yoruba topography is made up many hills and mountains which may hinder early sighting of a day old moon. Mind you, any tribe can be involve in the quest for the searching of early moon. Don't abuse him, just try to explain what he doesn't know for him, mayb it can be beneficial to him and others. sultan of sokoto is the chairman of nigeria supreme council of islamic affairs, in which a southwest man is the secretary and south southerner is the PRO. That is the central body for all Islamic affairs in the country. And if what they say isn't inline with Quran and sunnah(what d prophet said or did) ppl can reject it and go inline with the sunnah. |
Re: Eid-el-kabir: Sultan Of Sokoto Declares September 1st Sallah Day by DTaj: 4:51pm On Aug 23, 2017 |
ojun50: Ojun, you are wrong. There is nothing like 'turning himself to Federal Government'. It had always been the Sultan's job to publicly state the day of any Eid celebration by Muslims in Nigeria, while it is the job of the Federal Government to declare PUBLIC HOLIDAYS! The FG will do that (very likely as Friday September 1 and Monday September 3) so stop being mischievous! You and I know too well that it is so because the lunar calendar and the Gregorian calendar are different, and that unlike other holidays like Christmas, Easter, etc, dates of Eids cannot be pre-determined (they could actually be predicted either with plus or minus one day) hence the Sultan's declaration upon the advice of the Moon Sighting Committee. The Sultan has not committed any error! |

Re: Eid-el-kabir: Sultan Of Sokoto Declares September 1st Sallah Day by modsfucker: 5:00pm On Aug 23, 2017 |
Presidiotbuhari: Let me correct an impression here. The declaration was made by the Supreme Council For Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) led by the Sultan. The committee comprises a collection of scholars from different parts of the country including the South-West and they work harmoniously without any ill affection. Secondly, there is a sizeable number of Igbo Muslims in the country and are well represented in the committee too. If you had ever been to the National Mosque, the pre sermon preaching is delivered in the three major languages, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba while the main sermon is delivered in Arabic. |
