(1.)Job Title: Crane Operator Location: Kaduna Job Description Responsible for operating a stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. Depresses buttons, lifts levers, and ensures load is safely attached to crane before bringing it down Responsible for operation of crane used in heavy lifting and transport Responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations Responsible for own and rigger’s compliance with company policy, safety guidelines and procedures that pertain to the crane operator’s job Responsibilities Operate crane under general supervision. Manipulate or depress cane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions. Repair crane as needed. Operate crane according to signals from helper. Qualifications and Experience 5 years experience as crane operator in a construction industry Completion of technical certification or secondary education is preferred. (2.)Job Title: Excavator Operator Location: Kaduna Job Description The candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the construction excavator. The Excavator Operator uses mechanical controls to operate the boom, arm and bucket to excavate, level off and work the ground. Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation Operate the excavator and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill equipment as necessary. Ensure trench is excavated to the proper depth/grade. Follow directions of ground crew regarding craning, gravel placement and grading. Cut grade with minimal time spent on excavating to ensure production is on schedule. Conduct trench work, which meets OH&S requirements. Qualifications SSCE/ Technical Certificate (NABTEB) Valid Driver’s License Work Experience: 5 years’ experience within the road construction industry 2 to 3 years’ experience operating an Excavator is required. Knowledge of Excavator/Hoes and other heavy equipment Knowledge of Road construction materials road construction processes and industry requirements.
