I am planning to increase my number of dogs, and I want to get an additional 4 before the last day of the year. I got my first dog earlier this year(februrary) and I have been increasing them in between as I grew to love and attach to them.

I am thinking a Rottweiler or Boerboel.

Can rott and boerboel professionals give me ideas? Pros and Cons? Risks? Also is cow head good for dogs? I've been asking myself this for months

I have no favorite right now between both. I want something that is working and is quick to anger.

Get a rottweiler they will protect your home with ferocity and teanachiousness expecially the ones with a strong bloodline...most boerboels are lazy

boerboels are not lazy they are one of the most agile mastiff dogs. the ones in Nigeria just eat and get fat without working.

OP personally I prefer a boerboel but let me just give yu differences and similarities. boerboels originated from S.A they were bred to guard the farm, free thinkers and very protective of their owner and properties rottweiler on the other hand are from Germany, drover dogs as well as good guard dogs. in size the boerboel is bigger weighing as much as 200pounds. the boerboel has a better temperament and is especially good with kids. the boerboel has a shorter hair and less grooming both are working dogs, intelligent, agile, easy to train and they make good guard or security dogs.......... so it's left for yu to decide both both of them are excellent

as yu know large dogs are prone to hip and elbow dysplasia and the boerboel is not an exception they are also susceptible to entropion and ectropion am not sure if I got those two spellings right but it affects the eyelids. I really don't know about the health of a Rott but I know they are prone to hip dysplasia too and from what I have seen(i may be wrong though) they easily go down with Parvo.

if yu have a good vet parvo can combated but common are yu praying for parvo? keep yur environment clean, vaccinate yur dog and keep it away from stray dogs. after all yur GSDs did not experience parvo. if yu still scared go for a boerboel it is generally healthier than a rot. thanks....

Both rott and boerboel are prone to hip dysplasia . But in the case of parvo virus,i think rotties gets the virus easily. I suggest you go for a boerboel.

BTW, why so scared of parvo,do you stay in a dirty/unclean environment?

go for boerboel
rottweiler aren't very good with kids but boerboel are very good with kids,
and it is hard to find a rottweiler purebreed but easy to find a boerboel purebreed,
and boerboer are more energetic than the rottweller.
