OLAADEGBU:I agreed with you when Jesus is in this world he is the way and i believed no one at his time before coming of our messenger will goes to the Father (GOD) except he followed his Good News that he came with it. I honour Him in the sense that his followers honors Moses, Jacob and Abraham and the rest of them. |

shadeyinka:My friend can't a person asked a question, Before i talk to a person about faith i sometimes want to know what they believed in, i simply want to know what Christians believed about Jesus, because iam tired of people who are not Christian telling me what Christians believed in. I just want to understand if you will care to answered. I think Even if i Read the above verses you mention i don't think i will understand what it said properly without a person of knowledge of the book explained it to me. |

mukhtara446: Christians believe that which is written in the Scriptures. Any other believe is NOT a representation of what Christians believe. Since you say you want to know the truth of what Christians believe, the best is to look at what their Bible says isn't it? Christians may even have conflicting views of what they claim they believe such that any seeker of the truth must go to the source. Then, it will not be about what the followers of the Book says but what the Book says. So, if you really need the TRUTH as answer, Pick up a bible and read Colossians 1:15-20 Hebrews 1:1-3 John 1: 1-5 If you have any question or varying interpretations on these scriptures, we can read it one by one and discuss. The Bible is simple enough for comprehension. Diverse interpretations only come in through selfishness What the Quran teaches should be more valid than what any Muslim teach. In fact, we can say that a group of people are not Muslims simply because they disobey a fundermental area of the teachings of the Quran (eg. Bokoharam) |

Op is confused. For a start, have a look at this: Allah SWT says: "Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins upon them what is right and forbids them what is wrong and makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil and relieves them of their burden and the shackles which were upon them. So they who have believed in him, honored him, supported him and followed the light which was sent down with him - it is those who will be the successful." (QS. Al-A'raaf 7: Verse 157) Allah SWT says: "So woe to those who write the scripture with their own hands, then say, This is from Allah, in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn." (QS. Al-Baqara 2: Verse 79). These verses clearly shows that the 'Torah' and the 'Gospel' referred to in the Qur'an are not what the Christians today called 'Bible'. The reference is to what was actually revealed to Moses (AS) and Jesus (AS). |
