Sunday night (August 27) marks the latest iteration of the MTV Video Music Awards as the industry’s top talent compete for the bragging rights of reigning as the year’s best in music thus far.
Notably, Kendrick Lamar is leading all nominations with a total of eight under his belt. These include Artist of The Year, and Video of The Year for his visuals for “HUMBLE.”


Kendrick is also slated to open up the show with a performance while the likes of Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, and Ed Sheeran are expected to take to the stage as well.
