Now that the wall as fallen at Castle Black, the wall that stand between Nigerians and their sufferers will soon fall...
Let them keep pushing the populace to the wall, we won't mount the wall or brake the wall but will definitely turn back...

ON THE HIGHEST LEVEL, MY GUY.

WE'RE IN DEEPSHIT ALREADY,
I WONDER HOW THINGS WILL BE BY NEXT YEAR, AND 5 YEARS LATER.
What always gives the impression that higher tariffs is equivalent to good services. This is the same problem with PHCN higher tariff amidst darkness.

When Buhari's poor leadership caused inflation where were you? When Buhari fined MTN an unjust 5 billion dollars where were you? When Buhari increased fuel and electricity tarriffs where were you ? The fact is that the price of every single thing in Nigeria has gone up and these Telcom are not getting factors of production used to keep the networks up for u to make calls

Telecos observed "most customers spend less unlike b4"

so telecos decided " lets increase price by 100% to gain more profit"

For dis recession you wan increase price, i assure you, ur customers will drop even more

Yeah
Its basic economics....falling demand should trigger a fall in price and not the reverse

This is what happens when a country has bad leadership. Our representatives have been so bribed that at the end of the day, they will not do anything.
For the crappy network and the proposed tariff hike, I really don't blame the telcos because Nigeria has not made any progress in electricity generation since 2001 and price of diesel has been on the increase too. Furthermore, the so called representatives (both houses) demand for bribes and settlement from these companies. In addition, our so called leaders don't have a blue print for development.

Cost of operation is rather high in the county. Imagine running all their base stations constantly on generator, just think about the cost of diesel consumed. If power supply is steady of course that will imply reduced cost of operation.

Lack of other national infrastructure like national fibre backbone. South Africa Telecoms has national fibre backbone that other telcos lease fibre from. But in Nigeria all major operators have to dig the roads to Lay fibres and create individual backbones. Cost of right of way from government is killing. Constantly the fibres are cut by government construction activities.

In a nutshell, years of negligence by successive governments to provide national infrastructures coupled with constant power outages are the bane of the telcos.

So if their investments must be sustained and right sizing or down sizing averted then NCC must consider their demands seriously.

Our leader's are the cause of all this things, steady power supply will shut all this providers mouth, cos everybody who own a factory or comm company will claim I spend on diesel to power or produce it product. Double the price
