I'm an amateur in writing on nairaland so I would like to know if a detailed narrative is better than a straightforward story

a straightforward story is better. people don't have time to read long drafts anymore.

Okay thanks alot. I admire writers who have time to be detailed about the setting, as it helps the reader imagine and understand the feeling.
