That was a good enlightenment. We must begin to engage, remark and speak directly to specific actions, inactions and/or conducts that are inimical to our collective society and stop these generalizations that are not only often faulty and detrimental but also put us in bad light.

You have done no wrong. When you said "na dem", you did not mention any tribe. So if anyone feels you are referring to Hausas/Northerners, why should they feel so? If they didn't know that it is only their people that commit paedophile in Nigeria, why should they be on the defensive? After all, Yorubas also answer Muslim names like those in the news. Why didn't they think you were referring to Yoruba Muslims?
