BBC Sport reports that Fc Barcelona are not ruling out their chances of signing Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho before the close of transfer window on Thursday.

The Midfielder has been linked with a move to the Camp Nou all summer, and the Spanish giants have tried adding the Brazilian to their ranks after losing Neymar to Psg.

Barca has already seen three bids turned down by the English team, but the Spanish side believes Liverpool will sell their star midfielder for the right price.

Barcelona, However, have lined up a couple of other talented players as alternative should they fail to get their man.

Monaco winger Thomas Lemar is among the possible alternatives Barca are looking at, as well as Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, but Coutinho remains their No.1 choice.

The team’s technical director Robert Fernandez admitted that the team needs reinforcement before the window shuts down, saying: "I won't go into names but I admit that the club is working on the possibility of signing new players."
